Guest Scheme
Has anyone ever compared the 2 brands in their vehicles? Interested to see opinions on which way they would go.
Leebo3
I just put some monroe air shocks in the falcon, seem pretty good. Also have monroe in the escort, i dont really know what is best though!
Snoozin
Monroe GT gas in the starlet, and this far, they're fine. Nice solid damping, but still quite compliant over bumpy roads, not crashy at all.
mk2_escort
iv got some new monroe gt gas shocks in my esky and they seem fine.... not much body roll and seem pretty stiff.... u get wot u pay 4 i guess.......
028
I tried KYB and Monroe, feel kyb is a lil stiffer
Sparkle
w/o trying them myself but opinions from other people, especially race guys etc, kyb seem to be much better, apparently munroe used to be a good aftermarket shock, only average now and alright to run as an aftermarket standard shock, but nor as a performance one
CaMpylobacter
I'd rate KYB loads higher than monroe, although monroee are sweet for stock applications, the KYBs seem to last alot longer too.

mk2_escort
of corse you wouldnt use monroes as performance shocks. ud have 2 b stupid 2 think that. bilstein r THE best... no questions askd. all the rally guys use them, but they r abbsolutely pointless 2 have on a road car. ud get sick off them being so stiff! (trust me they are stiff even tho used on gravel). apparently konis are known 2 wear incredibly fast making them a waist of money.... not sure about road use but im sure this would still apply. I do agree with them being the best though. konis arent a waste of money, thats the biggest load of crap ive ever heard people rate them 2nd best to, or equal with bilstein with what shock is actually better, its down to personal preference, with koni yellows being rigid adjustable and bilstein having a lifetime warranty, really is a tough choice kybs are a decent aftermarket shock for what you pay for. Best bang for your buck etc, but if you want great stuff, then go for koni/bilstein.

Gaz
there was a thread about this in maybe performance car forums years ago with a big thing about how some of them were all shit and the same brands as others. was awsome artical. but im to lazy to look it up./

Guest Scheme
Just going in a toyota ke70 wagon thats gonna run a rebuilt 4k isn't exactly a performance car, so munroe would probaly do the trick..

jNINE
KYB any day over Munroe. We sell both brands and Munroe have started cheapening their product using plastic valves etc. I have KYB in the rear of my commodore and GC Galant rally car.
