Ned
dont know... just use gasket paper that can handle the heat of an exhaust (not sure if there is such a thing... dont know how much normal gaskets can handle...) and use that... with gasket goo
Toucan
If you are after a liquid type type then I reccomend Holts Firegum from Supercheap. Great stuff, sets hard as and can withstand white heat (according to the packet).
CaMpylobacter
get some of that proper metallic type shit, either as a factory style gasket, or get some from a rebuilders bulk roll to make one. for oil feeds/returns use proper gasket paper, you dont want little bits of rtv rockin down into the turbo

RT
I wouldn't use any sort of gasket goo or gasket maker on a turbo.. the shit will come off in bits and munch through the blades and fuck your turbo quickly. Temp gets red hot, i've had mine glowing cherry red on many occasions. I just use single peice gaskets off the shelf.. make sure it's metal backed on both sides and you'll be sweet. The repco paper shit will blow out under high boost.
drftnmaz
nah i'll just charge it to my staff acc!!! i can't get a off-the shelf gasket for what i need! or i would have already done it. the flange i mainly need it for is the outlet of the turbo so no issues bout it hitting the turbine. what temp is red hot tho? 300C ??? i wouldn't have a clue and on a side note anyone know where to get decent manifold gaskets for a 4k???? i had to get those sh!t paper ones from repco

Hemi
yea dont go near anything bar one piece gaskets ive had more then enough turbos come through work that are completely farked the center housing and exhaust blades because of a piece deciding to leave the manifold etc......, is it for the turbo or the headers? Burntrubber
Have you had the flange's machined flat thats important mine blew out the turbine exit a few times I knew it was warped but yeah was to lazy. Its all good now and I use repco paper but its only done a few kms so could blow out later.
drftnmaz
yea i just file them flat normally aye. its the flange on the exit of the turbo, i have seperate wastegate and the factory gasket doesn't seperate the two so it wouldn't work. i was wondering about replaceing manfold to head gasket as well
