dont know about the gearbox.They are the older ones, but they look the same so should work.If it dont then just use the cable box out of a sigma.Cheap as shit and sooooooo commen.

Im sure there there is a manifold that fits to the vr4 thats off a RWD motor.Ive seen it b4.Might look into that alittle fearther and find out.Makes things easier.Just a bolt on thing.

If you use the km132 box (also known as a d50 i think) from the na sigma then you can use the standard lancer drive shaft.All the 4sp,50sp lancer boxes and the sigma 5sp boxes are all the exact same length.Im not 100% sure about the turbo boxes tho, but they are probbaly the same also

Ive seen an evo 4 manifold bolted up, with the alternator moved to the other side of the block, would still have been very close to bothe the steering box and the block itself, not to mentioon the mounts and chassis rail. Vr4 manifold will fit, its only when you come to try and bolt a turbo up that you have issues, if you try and mount a vr4 or early evo turbo it will not fit unless you put it backwards ie exhaust at the front of the motor.

In my experience a tc05, and a td05 will not fit on a vr4 manifold, the closest i came was by fitting the turbo backwards (exhaust at the front) so that the 'snail' curled in towards the block, but an 060 td05 housing fouls on the block. I havent tried an evo manifold, but they look fairly similar to the vr4 anyway. If there is a combination that does work with a low mount turbo i'd love to know, as it'll save me buying an aftermarket tubulr manifold and rewelding it for my 'big' motor. i had thoughts that an evo 4 manifold and turbo could fit but from what i can tell the evo 4 turbo is a rather larger unit than the earlier ones and would be an even tighter fit. although it would at least point the right way in its factory position on the manifold..

looks like i'll go down the path of a tubular manifold, probably with a t3 flange as all the td05 manifolds i have seen are not very compact, and cut the headers at the engine flange, rotate 180 degrees and reweld so as i have a high mount which will also allow the use of a conventional rotating turbo, plus it'll look porn. :D

If anyone else has any ideas i'd like very much to hear them as i am not 100% that what i plan to do is neccessarilly the best idea.

Yeh I was initially thinking of getting our engineer to make me up a custom manifold, isnowi are you in wellington?

That way obviously you can place the turbo where you want it. :D

Yeah im in wellington, put the turbo thing on hold for now, got an ex lancer shell thats going to be stripped and caged, i'll be swapping all the sigma gear into it, as the sigma shell is in less than perfect condition. I think custom manifold is the best, i think high mounted is also the way to go, i really don't want t o put heat into the steering box if i can help it, besides whats a little bit of blistered paint on the bonnet :D

Ive had mine at 10 and its ok, but 5-8 seems to run best.You ay have leaned it out a little to much also, hence the preignition.The 4g63 is pretty prone to it tho,so if you cant totaly get rid of it them dont worry to much.

I get it alttle under 1500- 2000rpm, but nothing after that.
