rs2000escort
how do you go about resetting your leafs is it easy or best to take it to some one to do it cheers
Gaz
You can do it yourself by taking the top or middle sping out and flipping it over in a vice. Do the clips back up and put them in. This will lower it but wont do to much to the handling. I would get them done properly by Archers in Rotorua.
esky boi
I didnt think you could get a warrant by doing this. Im looking at getting my springs reset 2" and then using 1" blocks (3" drop), is this gonna be sweet for a WOF and stuff?

My mate told me to take out the middle leaf, turn it over and clamp em all back together in the vice. The force of one leaf against another was ...a lot. I tentively put the middle bolt in and tightened it up and slowly released the vice. Fuckin dodgy shit man...both leaves loaded up on each other like a catapult and it was too much for the nut and I let go of it and "PING!" it shot the nut off through the garage wall like a fuckin bullet!! almost killed me. for fuck sake fellas just pay the $150 and get em reselt properly
WEST
Snell springs in Auckland (penrose) do it for $110 last time I checked, is so much easier to get it done than try do it yourself and how low you tell them to do it is what you get, unlike some other lowering places. Guest WESTCORT
when you say MU, do you mean mysterious utility? 4inch lowering blocks are illegal by the way

Guest WESTCORT
so resetting nthe leaves makes them softer? ie full passenger load and sitting on bumpstops? definatly blocks then if restting costs more than
