take em out and get them reset, if it's still not low enuff, put some lowering blocks in aswell i guess.

ok, sweet. would a supension shop like mag and turbo be able to that?

have heard of pepole fliping them upside down, but you'd have problems then of the diff hitting the flatdeck???

cheers guys!

hopw much lower are you planning on going? because you can put up to 2 inch lowering blocks in that is the easiest option cos you don't need to take the leafs out and leave it for a couple of days while they get reset...

i want to get the wheels to the same levels as the guards, so round about 3-4". where do you get these blocks from? ive seen a b2000 in wellington (same truck pretty much) thats the same height as what i want to go too, but the guys a tool and wont tell me shit!

yea, a few pepole ive talked to have suggested that... but it seems to easy... im worried about the diff hitting the tray if i do that, ive seen some utes with there tray c-notched to avoid that, butg thats a whole lot of money/time... think i'll give it a agio and see what happpens... worst comes to worst i'll just have to put it back up again!

where do you get these lowering blocks from?

just go to a suspension plac ethey will be bale to source them... it doesn't matter what method you use too lower it with (blocks, flipped/reset leafs) it won't affect the likelihood of the diff hitting the tray. you can lower it untill it is close to the tray and thats it.... unless you want to modd it because the diff and axle all stay in line with the wheels.. i'm guessing it is a static rear

DO NOT FLIP UR LEAFS ON A UTE!!

what happens is ur drive ends up stuffing ur gear box. my mate did and slowly the drive shaft destroyed the gearbox starting at 5th gear and workin its way down

yup, solid rear end.

cheers for that dude, but i cant see how it differs to putting blocks in... just a more extreme drop i guess flipping the leafs i guess ...

thanks for your input guys!

when ya lower any veihicle that much it normally stuffs up the angle that the factory set the driveshaft/diff/ gearbox at loading the U/Js past the max angle they can move causing them to blow or rooting the rear of the gearbox. ive seen a courier ute that had the gearbox mount modded to lift the G/B higher in the tunnel to straighten the angle enough to let everything work right. ya can just flip the leaf with the eyes in it to lower the car but it makes them ride real hard. better to get them reset
