  2. thanks for the help.yeah they suit the car really nice on the back,guard rub shouldnt be an issue really,yeah mite have to go for spacers and longer studs option. tires are 205/40/17 and im guessing they are fwd offset.

  4. hey guys im after some help with the front of my mates escort,has 17" for it the backs are fine but the front are hitting the struts alot,any idea the best way to get round this ? thanks alot
  5. ahaha that happened to me to,dam thing nearly fell off,very dangerous,if yer lowered they tend to cause trouble if not really tite:)
  6. well the lancer i had linbed up turned out to be a rust bucket in discuse unfortunalty ... oh well have to wait for another shell to come along.../ are those gsr front struts a bolt in mod or not??? sounds like yer lancer is getting the full treatment..
  7. ok guys i cant find this anywahere,trying to find the valve clearence for a f8 engine is there a spec page sumwhere that has heaps of engine stat??? any help would be good ! mine engine is getting very chatering in the top end...

  9. hey guys thanx for the advice,im currently looking at a trade me auction for a starion "siarus" engine??? if thats rite,comes with ecu and loom and everything i need basically to get going,am i looking at changing x memeber aswell if is a 1200cc?? also the engine comes with the starion mounts etc.. they shud bolt up sweet? the car im getting also has a 5spd in it already .. any idea what i would be outa? whats wit the thermostat mod? why is this required? something in the way of it? any probs with manifolds etc.. clearing? thanks makes life a alot easier to do a conversion that can be explained insteed of just "oh yeah my mate did it like this" crap.. what kind of hp am i looking at ?also any drive shaft issues? is the wiring easy as judging by the picture it's carby-efi looking ??
  10. hey rxtoy,i used to live on manuka road,small world huh,and had a 70's celica as well,and i roniacaly have the same name as you! looking at a 82 ex lancer in the next couple of days wof/reg for 600$ standard 1200cc model,would this be an easy base project... what should i go sohc or dohc 4g63,...??? any one?
  11. pretty sure that doch motor is incorrect... im after a standard turbo one... wonder if that dohc head would fit on the sohc turbz one:)

  13. ok just before i even try to take it off can i get it by the crossmember?? is running a 4g52 and the gasket is leaking rather alot,i hope the engine dont have to come out just to do it:)
  14. what mag off set am i ment to be running on my van?? currently rolling on 17" lotus rwd rims... the front ones stick out a bit and i cant go any lower without more guard rub!! ,the rear ones seem to sit ok..? ive seen other vans around with the fronts in the guards with no rub..?? any help would be great... thanks !

  17. yeah they made a few,not to common tho, i know that the telstar version is the same as my econovan engine so,im thinking the 626 will be to.perfect rwd conversion:)
  18. found a 86 2ltr turbo 626 for sale .would this have the same engine as the ford telstar??? anyone? hence ford/mazda the same etc.. any help would be good
  19. hey .thanks for the info, yeah im looking into 4g63t as i mite as well go turbo if the option is there:) on the look out for a good body,running or not ,has to be reg on holed as im not keen to do another revinning for a project.. any one out there with a tidy shell for sale...?? found a pajero down the line with the 4g63t setup and most of the good to boot. can anyone tell me what theres goes like after the conversion even just n/a63 conversion ?? thanks

    Lowering my ute

    i had an 87 one low in the guards,the ride was terrible allways n the bumpies,i'd reconsider it lowring it to far as it get a bit old when u are driving it after a while,confort wise was shit.
