When I got my new engine awhile back, the dude had some nice 8mm leads with it (being a mechanic he coulda swiped them off anything) . Anyway as you can see in the pic below, they are about 4inches too long, I dont know much about leads, but is it bad to have them this long?

GO THE BEIGE!!!!!

May be a disadvantage to have them longer I dunno, bu if its runnin ok then i guess ur safe?

I made a new set yesterday outta 6cl falcon ones, my mate gave them 2 me n the coil ends were diff 2 escorts, so I cut the ends off all and wacked the old terminal things and rubber boots of the scort onto the newies! Look flash as and FREE, FREE i tells ya!

If it bugs you, just trim them up, it takes fuck all.

I'd trim 'em.

I had to trim the Mallory ones I got for my old Holden 6 looks a lot better when they're all sitting snugly and not floundering about the place. Nothing worse than fishy leads.

honestly, it wouldnt change your performace or anything of they are alll long. It would only make a differnce if one was real short and the other was like 10m long.

if anything, it would put your timing our by a fraction of a fraction of a second.

the longer the leads the further the current

true, but the speed it is traveling at, is so dam fast u won't notice any difference at all

but if it makes u feel better, and makes things tidys and look better, then sure, trim them, i would

true.. but i wasn't talking about the time it takes for the spark to get there.. i was talking about the power loss that it has travelling that extra distance.... i mean it won't be to much but everything helps... and it puts more stress on your coil etc

power loss wouldnt be anymore than 1volt MAXXXXXXXXXXX,

and how many volts go through the leads....i don't know, but i know its a fukkkkkkkkkkkkkk load

you won't lose any power, or anything, but yes, everything does help Jerm,
