The custom cam in my 1600 has 11.5 mm lift on the inlet vaules and they just touched the 1300 pistions I had to get a very small amount taken out if the pockets you should be fine with a 234

I used Kennelly cams Peter is very good will custom make for you . I agree with Auckland cams had one ground wouldn't perform any where near the spec he had given

Just put a nice smaller cam in it like a BCF2 it will go fine and be a nice driver they where never built to be super fast as much as we try

So start up was planed for tomorrow fingers crossed . Tried a couple of times by myself . Then called a pro into help and few more tries and away she went Magic one big job ticked off now the rest can move forward quite quickly

This project has come to an end for me 2 broken engines in a space of 3 months and still loads to spend to keep me happy . I would rather invest into my other project as it has now sat around for just on 2 years while the sport keep taking all my spare cash . So I'm turning it pretty much back to standard running gear . There will still be loads of good parts though out it for a new owner . And the funds will get my other car moving along quickly. And might get me a cheap toy in the middle

So a couple of weeks down and a business to run has no helped getting the car ready . Big thanks to Max in the weekend and the engine and front end is all back in. I have been working away over the week and have done a fair bit more start up is planned for Friday and Trad me on Sunday .So the front end, I was using was in need of a little care Nothing to hard just in need of a little attention and every thing came together pretty well and I got it back on the wheels Still loads to get done over the week lsd to come out 4.1 open should suit the 5 speed and remove the adjustable shocks. Brand new set ready to go in . Loads to do and still I will need a car for gumboot rally only 5 weeks to go

Yes this has been done and a new exhaust as well as new engine mounts and gear box mounts. they are only made for show cars not for any sort of driving at all . I have sent another email this is the third time I have complained on a product that has a warrenty (I thought) Keen to see what he has to say this time.

So it was going but with a loud bang at track day while Jenn was doing laps it never made Nationals . The engine and whole front end came out this weekend. A very big thanks to Doug. The new engine is painted gear box attached . Just need to get a new ball joint and front disks machined this week goal is to have it running by end of week this week but that is very hope full ( on a very standard spec and ready for sale ) When the engine came out the headers are near on rubbish now "105 speed" not sure about them but they have so many cracks and breaks they are now beyond repair In my option they are for show cars only that never get driven Your thoughts guys??? And this is where I'm up to at current. Replacement front end half way there should be going in very soon
