  1. pretty unrelated except for the supercharger. but my old supercharged crown was a bit like that (though less extreme) and a new set of spark plugs fixed it. as it transpired, the rear two plugs were ever so slightly harder to change so the last time someone did plugs they just didnt bother with the two rear plugs.... people.
  2. im sorry, i was just being a dick
  3. the real question is will it overheat pulling it
  4. are you ever likely to be interested in machining a body to order? one day, i guess in perhaps a year or so once ive gained at least some proficiency on the bass im learning, im going to design/assemble my own. I was going to draw it on cad either way, but cnc would be lush.
  5. i know nothing about boats, so now that we're past the thoroughly punishing trailer chat, this thread is really enjoyable to read, really interesting.
  6. i still have the set of 5 epsilon wheels from my crown, at some point i will list them for sale but im not actively advertising them at the moment. price wise, probably not cheap, not 100% sure on a price though. but if they are of interest to you i can think harder on it.
  7. my grandad said he once painted a car with a vacuum cleaner lol also there was a vintage hoover at the chch eco shop if anyone wants to be a sick as muncie. no idea if they are any good but it looked cool
  8. my grandad said he once painted a car with a vacuum cleaner lol
  9. once upon a time people at parts stores actually liked cars. years back i stayed at supercheap for way too long under the impression i was getting a full time slot at the new store opening. store opens and i get the ole them 'oh we need your expertise at this store' me 'ok fine but still full time eh?' them 'nah' me 'oh well i quit then' them left and went to BMW parts for a year while i waited to enlist. dumb fucks could have kept me for like 10-15k more a year (not a pay rise just more hours) during that time period i vividly remember a job advert for repco with a line that read an interest in cars is not required Edit - i thought this was a spam channel
  10. i hate your line of thinking my daily is quite fortunately a jaguar xf that i picked up for an absolute steal. its cushy and fast and does terrible things for the motivation.
  11. not alot of progress unfortunately, but certainly not abandoned. it spent more than a year in storage when i sold my house at the worst time in history and got stuck living at my parents. and then motivation and money has taken a heavy hit over the last year. its in my garage now and id really like to kick myself back into building the TT engine and hush the voices telling me to just buy an old single cam 18r and drive it. same store with the lotus 7 and the crown got sold for similar reasons and modern daily acquired to in an attempt to free up some time for other projects.
  12. i hate to point out, but if the speedo is ready 10kmk high, you've probably only done 72 kms
  13. wow that looks incredible. i genuinely thought the blackouts on the side were an oem option so fucking good job now that we know it was your own design, looks exactly right. love the black and pink too.
  14. yeah i think i could get away with stage 2 onwards on mine. ive used the mequairs products before to great result on the crown but might give sheepers combo a go for the heck of it. cheers both
  15. ahhh. that does make sense now. might atleast get some nicer LED bulbs that arnt so yellow then
  16. i was looking at the rear of my car and its cool tail lights the other night and thought it would look cooler with red number plate lights too. is this legal? i assume this means it has to be white. but it does say 'substantially white OR steady OR diffuse, so technically it seems like you would only need one of those aspects?
  17. details on compounds used plz? i have a similar job to do on my XF
  18. there was one put into a lawn mower years ago. they may be able to help.
  19. i thought therapy had helped be get my anxiety under control, but then i saw lego minifigs inside an intake plenum. i like your confidence and admire your skills
  20. how hot does it need to be? i wonder if an iron would be a good way to get nice consistent heat
  21. why wrap? it looks aweful and those pipes look sick perhaps a nice stainless heatshield where the leg goes when stopped but even then probably wouldn't touch it edit - 3 seconds after posting i wonder if it was sarcasm....
  22. will you be interested in running jobs though this once done? i have a miniature library to build for my wife (2 small walls floor to ceiling of shelves) that could be greatly more enjoyable if cnc cut. would also open up scope for more style too
