  1. keep in mind the op may not be welder savy? yet there are enough GCs on here that would be happy to donate a day to help/teach so its still a valid option
  2. if by chance your lucky and the wattl Killrust has the right colour, that stuff is pretty damn good, primer and gloss base coat in one and strong as hell, its on my advans and i did a coffee table frame with it that gets a hell of a kicking and still no scratches
  3. you should weld the stem from a mountain bike to it, so you can clamp on some riser bars that will bend back slightly but also sit forward to clear the rider
  4. my car will be off the road for a few weeks while it becomes more shiney and less multicoloured. im now keen for Sundays due to changing work, and if my car isn't on the road will definitely throw in some gas money for someone if they are keen
  5. use that wattle killrust stuff, can get 2 cans for $30 in a sale, sprayed a coffee table and my rims with it, paint dosnt even chip off when i tighten wheel nuts onto it.
  6. may i ask why its making all its power on redline?
  7. keen as, however i start a new job soon that will probably take me out of the running, but definitely organised it and ill try my best, if it dosn't work out for me ill probably set up my own cruise in a few months since more cruises are what we need
  8. that seems pretty cheap to be honest, good effort
  9. havnt seen many holley carbs that aren't for V engines?
  10. i whole heartily disagree with the pre-cross flow comment. when i slapped the weber (32/36) on my 18r the power increase was extremely noticeable, feels as fast as the gt familia i had which was 109hp and the 18r startd out at just under 90. at a guess it was easily over 10hp for $50, opened up my rev range an extra 1500rpm and made it a whole lot more slipery in the wet! i did do alot of research and knew the 32/36 was going to be a worthy upgrade as it was quite well matched. but i think if you can do alot of the work yourself, it can be quite cheap and quite enjoyable to play with.
  11. very keen, and maybe a Saturday this time?
  12. that jetting will probably run quite rich, this shouldn't cause any damage, but people may correct me? im not a huge expert on carbs yet, just getting there
  13. same happened with my dads van, the insurance company were surprised there was no 'laptop' or 'cellphone' in the van.
  14. well thats pretty damn cheap
  15. is it remotly close to the right jetting? if you don't know, go see palmside automotive, if its right then you could put it on and see how it runs, if its luck luster then just sell it. the weber was a worthy upgrade on my toyota though.
  16. go buy an 'easy out'. should do the trick, if not, well i don't think they cost much anyway
  17. lol thats awesome, i hate car thieves but its so much better when you steal it back, i bet they now feel gutted that it got stolen, cunts
  18. my manual for 16r and 18r has only 2 marks, left to right, its tdc and timing, from memory my actual 18r had 3 marks, so now i'm just confused :/
  19. ill go look in my r series manual and let you know
  20. my 18r is 10 btc for stock setup, got it around 7 with a weber
  21. keen for a Tuesday or Wednesday, the other days are out for me.
  22. i really hope he has a quiet hobby too, 3 months is a long time looking at the same spot of ceiling
  23. check for intake manifold leaks too, my car did this and that was half the cause, the other half was wrong spark plugs.
