I was basing that on this diagram: I don't plan on ever flipping leaves! So is having the axle on the other side of the springs legal?

I'm not really very familiar with leaf springs. I thought that my ute had a flipped leaf, but I have just noticed that the axle is sitting above the springs instead of below. Is this legal? I was going to spend the afternoon flipping leaves for a wof and then buy some blocks. Also, so I'm sure, are these flipped?

Ended up getting a replacement engine for ~$350 on a $1r auction. I'll probably scrap the other one.

Yeah, I tossed up between posting here and fabrication fuck ups. I've just spied a cheap engine on trademe. Fingers crossed.

So I just spent a few hours pulling the head off the Z24 in my Navara. I thought the head gasket had blown (apparently they delaminate on Z24s quite regularly), but no such luck. This is the exhaust side of the engine: So yeah, someone has drilled and tapped a new hole under the proper exhaust manifold stud, scoring the top of the block in the process, then spot welded some threaded rod in there. Was gunked up with some sort of gasket goo. Is it worth having this head fixed? My thought is no, but finding Z24/2 engines at a decent price is pretty difficult. Also the block, can that be machined out?

That was the car that enlightened me. The guy must have still been driving it when I was younger. I grew up around the corner and used to pine over it. Never had anything close to enough cash to make a decent offer though. Would be choice if you'd PM me what you paid for it.

Looking at a set of tyres on TradeMe. Located in LH. They must be picked up. Wondering if anyone might be able to do that and old them until I could sort a way to get them to Auckland? They're biggish tyres, 215/65/16. Cheers, Sam

I'm getting ready to paint my motorbike frame (have compressor and guns etc). Paint shop guy recommended lacquer, got home and found that I have etch primer and acrylic primer. Are these suitable to go under lacquer top coat?

Did it come out through the top in the end? Quoted for notification.

I always wonder with modded cars, (and this is in no way a criticism, I lucking fove it) what the guy who bought this car new, ticking the options boxes and coughing up all that dosh, would think of what became of his car. I'd like to think he was amazed.

Sounds inspector specific. I got a recheck almost6 months after initial check, was sweet as. I had to get a new wheel alignment sheet and stuff though.
