  4. theres currently a round headlight one on TM atm, was keen but no moneys, for anyone whose keen Is in palmy or new plymouth, LPG, blown HG though. was sitting at 250 reserve met last time I looked.
  5. only details I have heard about Y were on that toyspeed thread. I know 1c will fit, surprised that 3c wont though, was it definately 3c and not anothjer diseasil?
  6. Not sure that a bug catcher would be to my tastes, however, reverse cowl a la A9X torana or camaro floats my boat, could look the business on a criz aswell. Would probably need to go with rounded edges to pull it off to keep the same sort of lines that the car already has
  7. I have a wagon, just too new school to compare. Stable-mate of Lee's
  8. yes, would make for even happier pants Such a sweet car btw, I have much wagon love
  9. fucksake, thats painful. same thing happened to me a few years back, except I saw the lady coming so stood on the break so wouldnt hit car infront. Was still a write off though
  10. Bet you can't wait for full paint! Hows the finish of the job after all the work they had to do?
  11. That corona radiator is tiny! lol
  12. Just went through my books and realised I have this book. Haven't read it yet so will have a read of it, a quick skim suggests its aimed at turbo v8s though?
  13. At least you now have those simmons, they look so sweet Just had another look at your thread, fuck I love this car. I need to start finishing some projects and save up so I can get one. Always wanted an ae86, ever since I had one of those squashed up looking toy car versions of them when I was a kid lol
  14. Apologies for semi hijack but thought it might be worth while adding, I was searching old threads for brands for etch primer and bog over the weekend and found some contradictory stuff so also keen to find out. If anyone can clarify the difference between etch and epoxy primer as well?
  15. I was working there between 2000 and 2005, possible they got taken over by a rival crew They used to be everywhere, they are just teenagers though, not like 'adult' gang. Anyway, gotten a wee bit OT
  16. Haha, haven't you seen all their tags around? They are (mainly tongan) teenagers from onehunga high/drop outs etc. tag stuff and cause shit. I used to be a lifeguard at Jellicoe pools in onehunga when I was at high school/1st year uni, they always used to come in and cause shit. Had to rough one of them up once EDIT: where OCS = Onehunga Central Styles
  17. Yeah got into diagnosing cooling issues, assuming that was the problem. The shifting does sound strange. My old ford falcon used on cold mornings used to travel at a snails pace, like a belt or clutch was slipping in the box, you would have to increase the revs and then it would slam into gear, clunk in the diff, and do a skid then take off. Would often happen when the box was trying to downshift, like it would appear to get caught in 'nuetral'. Guess it was lucky that I got rear ended and car was written off in that regard. Yes manual conversion just because plz
  18. Potentially added too much head to the pump, but I doubt it.EDIT: actually this is highly unlikely, as we are talking 50cm ish Still seems odd that you cannot slelect gears when you start, as even in normal setup the oil will still be just as cold.
  19. fuck wrote a post and then window cleared when I hit submit/maybe I did cancel anyway If its a resistance problem, setting the cooler in series with the radiator one will only increase the resistance. Agree with spencer re taking coil off and trying again with 'stock' arrangement to make sure that the problem is or isnt still there. Probably a good idea to give the gbox oil a replace as well, just incase there is some crap floating around. I would then check your oil viscosity, then flow, and then maybe look at the thermostat switch.
  20. That is cheap We're $450 for 3 dbl beds in Mt Eden. Mind you thats cheap for Mt Eden. Have been looking at property in Onehunga Have you had any issues with the OCS?
  21. +1 the cooler in the radiator only has a couple of coils (generally) whereas your cooler (I'm guessing) has many more
