  1. Pretty sure a re-cert is the same price as a normal cert. I have held off doing mine as I dont have the racetech drivers seat that the cars certed for, so will lose cert for that.
  2. Yeh, im keen to have a one day meet on a weekend at some point, something we could do a few times a year maybe?
  3. Sounds very good to me, I'm sure the Whaka boys would be keen. Good idea to base it round a motorsports event, SS2000 and support classes are good viewing. Pity my car wont be going by then, i'll have to bring my next oldest car
  4. Just wondering if anyone in the TGA/ROT/WHK or near by areas would be interested in a small meet at some point? Just thought i'd chuck the idea out there and see if anyones keen. Chur.
  5. http://www.willtheyfit.com/ Is kinda handy.
  6. The 13x6 A3A's I got fit over my front brakes (only 13's that ever have) so was thinking about widening them. They have a rim half either side of the center, and each half is welded to the center, so two beads of weld. If I can get my hands on the 5th one, I may have a go at machining into the weld and try split the outter half off without eating into the center, should be doable. These places that make the halfs will make up and size rim/PCD you want wont they? Any ideas on how deep the weld would penetrate?
  7. Has anyone successfully split a welded 3 piece rim from its center? So that the center/one half rim is still useable?
  8. No, they dont have gaskets, just a layer of goop between sump/splash pan/block.
  9. Looks pretty damn good, I think car goatee looks good as it is, would look a little odd joining higher up/having body work behind it like you say.
  10. I'll take the pallet wrap home and wrap them up to the EXTREME.
  11. That would be chur, PM me their addy and i'll drop it off tonight/say hi to your mum for you.
  12. Hey Mr Wag, I think my wifes coming over on Friday night, be ok for her to drop them at yours? She should be there about 7-8pm.
  13. Shit yes, colour is so nice, matches interior even, top notch work.
  14. I'll see if anyone I know is going over to TGA, good chance someone will be.
  15. Yeh, could be ECU, but odd that it happens at the same RPM/speed, ECU problems are normally random as buggery. What about the pick up in the dizzy? Or maybe a fuel supply problem?
  16. Def get rubber grease, or else rubber will expand/go all shit house. Is also more fun trying to handle parts when they are lubed up.
  17. SC14 is the toyota S/C aint it? dont these melt the blades if you spin them to fast? Pretty sure you could only do minimal over drive on them before they shat their pants?
  18. Have a mate going back to auckland from whakatane on sunday night, and another mate going to napier on sat, then back to whakatane on sunday, soooooooooooooooooooooooo if you get al to give them to jeff, then jeff can give them to me, and I can give them to mate, and then you can pick them up off mate in auckland. simple. or you could send them for $10.
  19. Whakatane shall supply 3-5 ppl, and 1-3 cars for this.
  20. Puhuhuhuhuhuhu. Also, dont put TOO much heat into steel, or it will melt paint/warp steel anyways.
  21. Yep, get some heat in the steel, and just roll for ages, winding the roller out bit by bit, have to take your time tho, or the gaurd will get all warped and fugly.
  22. I got a bolt on roller, come to Whakatane for the weekend and roll that shit out.
  23. Yep, I just went out for a drive each night, loaded it up through the gears, then engine braked back down, kept it under 3500rpm to start with I think, each night going about 500rpm higher in the rev range, worked well. Just be careful of traffic behind you.
