there is lots of information on line, i think you can even read the virm and yes some inspectors can be difficult to deal with but after being chased out of the local dairy by two young hoods who i failed for too low too loud and other things, unless your a regular i will enforce all the rules. being an inspector is a pain in the ass, people forget that we have to answer to someone and can loose our issuing rights as has been close for me during an audit for small mistakes, its not hard to check lights etc before a wof, the inspector that you got just needs to chill a bit and think things through by the sounds of it

Hey there just a quick question should a ballast resistor get hot just checking things under bonnet and touched ballast resistor and bugger me it was bloody hot,is that normal? cheers in advance

that was my understanding i have run engines in at work but have done what engine builder has asked for this is my own engine and want to be able to give it a hard time later on down the track read skids etc,yes im pretty sure its about 5thou over size and so clean inside you could eat off it

hey there,does anybody have any recomendations on running in oil/conditions,i have a new engine and im not that keen on blowing it up too quickly,i was informed to drive it hard when running in as it will go better later on in life it is a 4g54 2.6 l200 engine new pistons,rings,bearings,crank grind etc,any feed back would be choice thanks,stace

yeah thats true, i have picked up a magna 2.6 to replace the l200 2.6 with a rod in through the block,i brought it thinking they were the same which they are except the bell housing top holes are 20mm lower,there is room to drill and tap the block to mount gear box and was just curious if any one had had any experience with doing it,the new engine i scored has been reconditioned and for $250 bucks was too good to turn down

hey there has any one converted a magna fwd 2.6 into a l2oo? bell housing needs to go up about 20 mm any one had success with this before thanks

its almost back together its quite hard to find a good 2.6 head but got two good ones, would really like some fat dished 15 inch 4x4 wheels but oh well just working with what i got at the moment

its an 87 lwb single cab sport and is a 2.6 bottom end with a 2.0 head with standard 2.6 carb
