  1. Make sure the diff is a wagon one. The shock mounts are different to a sedan. If you are running stock wheels then diff width wise it will be fine but if you are running a bit wider than stock then it will rub on the guards. Also if you run stock 14" wheels and want to run V8 brakes on the front then check they fit under your 14's. I have VP V8 front brakes (bolt onto stock struts) but they do not fit under stock VB/VC/VH 14" wheels. If you have any questions then I'm pretty confident I can help with most aspects - providing I can remember. haha.
  2. Creatively those are looking pretty sweet. But got a bigger picture? The consistency of the line thickness, proper symmetry and the ends tapering off is what makes a good pinstripe to me.
  3. Probably the fact that you have no earth so if it has no earth then it becomes live by the other side of the horn being connected to 12V.
  4. Same diff. LOL Less rake/length in the forks and an upward raked frame with narrow bars and pegs up high so your knees are around your elbows when riding.
  5. If you were running even sized wheels then a level frame would look fine - but with 19"s and 21"s (assuming that's what you are running) you should run a raked frame.
  6. I love that little touch with the speedo. It's totally rad because the driver will be way too busy at that speed to actually ever look at it. Hahaha Though the OCD in me wishes the zeros in the 180 and 200 were flipped so the tapered end faced inwards like the rest of the zeros and that the 20 was spun around like the 180 and 200. But the OCD in me also wishes that television volumes only went up in even numbers and that all book pages started with a new paragraph so I could stop reading and know the next day that I could start at the top of the new page. So basically don't listen to the OCD in me - he's a dick.
  7. Don't worry about the Air Con - that can be ditched and repaired or replaced later on. For now just get it straight and running again. Good job lad - expect to see it at Nats next year to defend it's title...
  8. Corbie pointed out I have no OS sticker on my car - I was aghast and promptly blamed the Wellington area reps for not selling me one. It's been that 6 years I've owned this car... I'll get one in Eastbourne next week.
  9. Fuck that's right - fuckin useless area reps... titter.
  10. Just been to Nats - 1900Km, 270 litres of gas and 2.5 litres of oil after leaving home I'm back and the beast performed like an absolute world class champ. A picture from Markku - Cheers Absolutely wasted the Wagoneers plaque on a speed hump in Remuera and it's now pretty bent up but still holding together so on it shall stay. (felt like the whole weight of the rear slammed down on it HARD as it was momentarily standing vertical on the top of the speedbump)
  11. Make sure you hit up Yowzer for the HEI lead ends as they are in his possession now.
  12. Nope they are the same box, the difference is the internal ratios. I fitted my Starfire box to the 202 and just had to fit a 6 cyl driveshaft which is shorter.
  13. the boys are stopping in Vinegar Hill tonight I believe. Then off to Coromandel tomorrow.
  14. That HG? ute is sex. JBs wag looks tough with wide wheels on the bum.
  15. That is way too fuckin legit KYopper. Good jerb.
  16. I think one of the tricks is rolling the brush in your fingers as you start, finish and go around corners so the tip of the brush stays a nice defined point. But I have never done it, watched heaps of stripers go wild though. Also using the right brushes and paint is pretty key.
  17. I'll randomly shoot your hoop... If ya know what I mean.
  18. Also I hope you are bringing the HQ and a pit bull on a chain link leash to Nats.
  19. Holyshit. I lost it when I saw this pic. Its perfect with the black wife beater. You need white oversize gumboots and faded as fuck hurricanes stubbies to round off the image.
  20. Hammer on a socket that only juuuust doesn't fit. Undo nut and then smack the nut out of the socket in the vice.
