  1. beeeoooooo my normal intake temp at wot is 70C
  2. there's a 30c, you're far away and don't have many people so we can charge whatever we like and you have no option tax for most of the rest of the country
  3. 0.5 % of the calculated fuel? roman I think you could have got a better deal on petrol - I mean i paid 2.02 in taupo last night, heck thats 2% cheaper whats next? flex fuel sensor?
  4. basically yes genuine is better, but also costs 5x the price chinese shit is shit but its not all shit all the time, make up your own mind based on your own situation, resources and capabilities as to what is an option that you can live with.
  5. Same thing if you have any other fuel system issue really. Fit fuel pressure sensor to the rail and set the ecu to cut spark on low of fuel pressure. I know what you are saying and you can say that about every part and gold plate and you can still Chernobyl the thing. Its risk vs return. I'm not saying there isnt a risk but I am saying not as big a risk as is made out. Inspect the thing, test it before use in anger and for alot of applications they are just fine. Heck those barra motors are cheap as chips anyway!
  6. if its boosted you really have to run the lines so the reg is by the motor for the vacuum/pressure signal as running a long pressure signal line would be garbo unfotunately
  7. that said I've got a setup sitting in the shed for the 131 like that, carter lift pump and a surge tank with the 044 welded INSIDE the tank so less fuel fittings necessary or something
  8. but you would need two if you were going to run e85, so Id consider the walbro 400LPH single pump in that case
  9. did the trailer start getting death wobble at higher speeds?
  10. only if you have laser scanned your engine and engine bay, and you are a total masochist. 8v twincam fiat runs the cams in an oil bath so im guessing its probably not a great idea/would just suck all that oil out and cause cam wear.
  11. if we are talking about the easiest/cheapest/most expedient setup
  12. easier to put more petrol in than baffles
  13. Dry sump pumps 4 stage vs 3 stage vs 5 stage. can you have too much stage? is there much benefit in scavenging from camboxes/rocker covers?
  14. I would think its more that the preload might be uneven side to side if the platforms have been moved to raise and make the car level. of if they are at the same preload maybe the car is on the piss/fruitloop etc. different heights side to side. knowing it has been/is a rally car make me consider that squareness/bentness could be a contributor. the wheels can have the right camber and toe etc. but one might be slightly further forward on the chassis or whatever which when combined with weight transfer and bumpsteer effects etc. etc. death wobble/jeep spec handling or it could just be one shitty bushing.
  15. man i probably have the plug on my cut up loom/too late lowl
  16. The car might have a wheel alignment but is it actually square? The suspension pickups esp. You should put a centerline/centrepoint down the car and triangulate all the point suspension mounts and to the ball joints or a fixed point on each hub. Also has something potentially moved since wheel alignment? This said preload issue sounds plausible, if you set it up to get the ride height square using preload its unlikely the preload is perfectly even/car is a twistie probably
  17. You know they're all made in China anyway just different names on them
  18. yeah I dont trust the gunky shit what does work is ground pepper, silly as it sounds. it wont fix things completely but if its a small leak the ground pepper goes into the hole and blocks it up and slows the leak, but its not going to be gummy and block up things, its small enough that it passes through the tubes etc and soft enough its not going to damage things by flying around the system. but if you can see the leak and it is solderable or epoxyable from the ouside those would be much better more permanent solutions. also when you run dodgy shit like this you have to remember to check your water level religiously............. if you do sometimes you can get away with murder and no issues if you keep on top of things
  19. google maps sensor calibration you mean
  20. to hide those marks from when grubby peter visits?
  21. cut slits with 1mm cutoff disc most of the way through the pipes, bend then weld up slits? multiple slits if neccesary to acheive angle. poormans kunce lobsterback bend.
  22. made up some spacers which took alot longer than expected and managed to go drive around the block at 10pm MS droid is pretty great and is definitely going to be very very useful being able to datalog to your phone and log gps etc. as well! theres a few funny clunks and not sure if thats just clunky russian LSD or something else so will jack it up and check it over before going for a tune tonight
