  2. Awesome work mate ! Well impressed when I seen it a few years ago ! Really works well with everything you have done ! Are this original forks longer than stock ?
  3. Thought it looked familiar ! Awesome stuff . Where are you based ?
  4. Cheers ! I love you Cafe Ironhead ! Have I seen this at Burt Munro a few years ago ? Looks familiar
  5. Oh really !! That's something I'm gonna need in a few days ! Your headlight and taillight have polished up well and are all mounted up ! Will need to swap them out for compliance tho as they have no markings on the lenses
  6. Cheers guys !! Got frame back from powdercoaters today !! All the chrome back last week . Now it's reassembly time ! Got the motor and front end all mounted up for good before I had to go to work this arva . Plan on getting the rest of everything else on there tomorrow then spend Friday night putting plugs on all the wiring !
  7. Mate ! Looking bloody sharp ! Can wait to park up with the other Vankers at Nats
  8. Looking sharp as brother ! Let's ride this summer
  9. Big Jonny at jonnys speed shop finished welding the frame and I took it to crack testing at lunch . All passed and dropped the sissy bar , bars , side stand , headlight mount off to the chromers ! Looking forward to picking them up early next week ! Will be sand blasting the frame tomorrow to drop off at the powdercoaters asap . It's all go !
  10. So last week I had all the fabrication finished up and pre wired the whole bike On sat morning before Josh's wedding I stripped the bike to a frame and then yesterday I finished some welding of brackets I'd done and cleaned up plenty with the flapper disc on the grinder . Then tonite dropped off the frame to Jonny for tig welding the critical frame and rear calliper mounts . Will drop it off at crack testing tomorrow and hopefully have it back before the end of the week so I can sandblast before dropping back to the powder coaters! Only 19 days till the smash palace bike show and 250 k ride the day before !
  11. Interesting Rookie . 2 mates have recently certified their xs650s with weld on hardtails and no crack testing was required . My brake pivot point is on the motor so haven't changed that . All I've done brake wise is the rear calliper mount . In regards to e marked everything I'm fucked as I'm running vintage headlight and taillight . Will run a temp chain guard and front guard for the very process . I'm a bit gutted mine is a 80 not a 78 . Would totally run no indicators if I could avoid it . Might run without them once got first wof
  12. Cheers Roger . Do these need to be e marked ? Also I can't seem to find any info regarding certifying a motorcycle . In regards to what I've done to my Harley removing the swingarm and welding a Hardtail section in place then calliper mounts and seat pans and the like
  13. What is the minimum indicator size for a motorcycle ? And if it's a American import American built motorcycle can it have red indicator lenses ? Thanks
  14. Haha yeah creepy aye. Yeah I'm running 1" bars . More than happy to hook you up for altering the file and then I'll prob post on the 3D printing thread and see if anyone is keen to make some for me . If it comes in cheaper than buying posh items id be stoked
  15. Cheers bro! Gloss black frame Black oil tank that will most likely feature a few bike stickers Chrome bars and sissy Black leather seat with diamond stitched centre panel Tank will remain stock at moment and rear guard painted the same gloss black with grey centre and red pinstripe
  16. Righto so fabrication is finished bar final welds when frame is stripped down again and the rear calliper mount. Made a start on the wiring today. Gonna buy some micro switches and a new speedo with warning lights in it this week. Getting it done!
  17. Hey, Just googled Posh Switches and it brought me to your thread haha. Are you able to make more of them ? id be super keen on a pair for my Harley
  18. Jeez long time no update but plenty of work has been happening . Fabrication is almost finished . There has been so much of it on this bike . Next up is wiring . Will smash some pics up at end of this weekend !
