  3. Are the B/T and S/T intake cams not the same? And it's the B/T exhaust cam that has slightly more lift that makes B/Ts interference engines? From all the research I did into running open trumpets with no intake chamber, air intake temps are higher, being located above the exhaust sandwiched between the block and fire wall, and made no gain in power. They sound fucking mean though, maximum DOORT spec.

  5. You'll be fine. I have a 4 inch intake straight from my turbo through a pod filter and it's fine (Makes a hell of a lot more noise than open quads do).
  6. It had two edaboc stickers on it at one stage that read "edacoc". Clutch has done itself a mischief, so pulling it apart on Saturday to investigate. I suspect it's the release bearing. As I'm currently only running a single clutch plate with uprated pressure plate, I'm tossing up whether this is the time to go to a twin plate clutch now to avoid any issues if I decide to squeeze any more power out of it later on.
  7. Hmmm, interesting. You would have already had a tow vehicle and transporter I'm assuming? Seems pretty damn cheap for an entire season.

  11. So this thing is happily running 14psi and will now rev to redline. Still have to see what's causing the boost cut at 16psi, but will get to that in due course. One thing I have noticed is that it doesn't like sitting in traffic for long periods, as while the engine temp stays a consistent 82-84 degrees, the intake air temp skyrockets. I need to get this sorted & I have a few options for this.
  12. "I need NOS, two of the big ones......... And Harry, I need it by tonight." 200whp from 1200cc should be easily achievable, that's circa 157kw. Interesting to see what this thing is like with that sort of power, you'll be able to induce lane changes with your right foot.

  14. Who's heading up from Wellington? Who's heading down from Hamilton? Stef and I are thinking of flying down to Wellington, then catching a ride north. Then afterwards, hitching a ride back to the Hamilton Airport.
  15. Looked pretty sweet, it was lifting a wheel coming off the return road into the hairpin. Was only there to drop a mate off so didn't stay long, otherwise I would have said hi.
  16. Apex-i AVC-R. Just need to balance out the duty cycle of the solenoid so it doesn't spike or fluctuate. Unfortunately I haven't hooked up the speedo to it, so boost by gear control is out for the time being. Ideally I'd like a dyno where I can study the boost curve and adjust the settings to suit.
