  3. The sw20 seats I fitted to another mr2 (I got the sickness) the two front mounts bolt up but the two rear ones I had to remove the welded on rear mounts off both seats and fix the aw11 ones to the SW20 seats
  4. Sw20 seats fit pretty easily. Late model ones have recaros. Good luck finding any of those however. Ling post.

  6. Yes I'm thinking the same, the red car was a fantastic daily driver in my care. Very good manners on the road! This will be life threatening when you are done! Have you seen the dyno sheets from when I had it tuned? Did you get the G3 in the deal?
  7. Seems like it depended on how the chap was feeling on the day. I know my pre facelifts didn't have them. In fact none of mine had a sway bar. The one car I found one on was a shit box spec prefacelift at pick a part.

  9. Just wanted to say cool build but then I saw what's happened to my red mr2. I sold that car to Harry :'(. I'm struggling to see how it could have ended up being wrecked. I had thought about removing the 7a also but car would still have been worth a few bob even with a smallport or 20v. Christ Also I dunno who Ben Down's is but that's not me.
  10. What size rotor is that? I was just looking back at my jzx81 setup and which was with the later model version of the skyline caliper with a BA falcon 298mm rotor and the caliper definitely tucked in nicely: I'm just picking from an aesthetic point really, could just be bad angle in photos, but it would also give you a bit more clearance for wheels also if caliper tucked in a bit.
  11. Those adaptors look a bit thin in one particular section there, I mean I'm no engineer but I'd be wanting a bit more meat on that. Also, what is the brake pad contact area like on the rotor, they almost look like they are sitting a little far out from the centre of the hub in relation to the disk diameter in that photo.
  12. Not saying don't but I personally wouldn't bother with 7a route. Any added benefit gained is supported by a fair amount of custom bits and pieces. Different flywheel bolt pattern, timing bits not lining up, pretty much looking at an aftermarket computer and therefore tune straight away. The money spent on this stuff couldn't be used to make the car awesome!
  13. They are sw20 mirrors apparently. Gearing up for the gay train. But yeah my red one was Dec 88 build and had them. In fact the red colour mine was and shown above was only for the same period so if they are that colour your spoiler and mirrors will be final spec.

  16. Hi, One thing I don't seem to have up my sleeve is a decent source of tyres for a sharp price, can anyone here recommend a good shop to supply and fit tyres. Looking for 205/50/17 for a Mazda SP23. TIA
  17. Never seen it done but if you looked at X8 stuff they also are able to bolt on the nissan 4 pots with BA falcon rotors and a simple hub spacer.

  19. Yeah bay it was factory N/A so had stock C52 box and axles. Didn't drive it like a diddle so it was fine. Ed do have the opportunity to sit it on some scales?
  20. There is no factory lsd that I've come across. Very few who have owned an aw11 with an lsd are able to conclusively say what make and type of lsd has been in their car. I had 2 different lsds in my sc model and they drove quite differently. Best one I had was the c series box in my grey aw11 with the blacktop 20v
  21. Nah it's facelift vs prefacelift for strut cartridge sizes. Same deal with front strut top hats 4 stud vs 3 stud.
  22. It's not air stuck in the filter to cause it to appear not full of liquid? I can't see how it wouldn't be full otherwise, or maybe weaksauce pump as Joe mentioned
