  1. I only have 1 pair of stubs an theyr solid.
  2. - haha i've had my share of viscous lsd - don't need to, I only need one diff out of the 2 - no pics, the viscous centres are sealed so can't see much anyhow
  3. I have 2 viscous LSDs, both I think out of turbo legacies. The first one I bought off tardme and it had been overpowered and the washers that the little spider gears bear against had broken up. When I put a pair of stub axles in the diff centre I can slowly turn it by hand. The 2nd one (thanks again jase) will only turn if I put one end in a vice and put a screwdriver through the stub axle in the other end and then it just turns very slowly. Can anybody tell me if the first centre is stuffed? or is the 2nd one too tight?
  4. My mrs is japanese and has family in yokohama, perhaps i shul sort something out.

ud think that tard would have mentioned that it didn't run in the ad, rather than wait until someone asked.
  6. Looks hawt. Reckon it would look real nice in a dark but rich blue or green, luxury stz. Maybe like the blue jag xk8s ect.
  7. Hows about a ten gallon hat then and just take donations of petrol.
  8. I've wanted one of them for about 20 years. Those in the know reckon the XK6 is the better engine, but how could you resist a 12 banger? Reckon I'd be tempted by a lexus v8 driveline tho. LPG would keep the running costs down, or you could go the other way and do what top gear did!
  9. Does it turn right when you put the heater on?
  10. shagged throwout bearing might do it, but only until the clutch released.
  11. Sweet ride boe. 2nd the top stencil bleeding doves ftw
  12. makes sense. had visions of the sc working overtime and the wastegate letting half of it out.
  13. Why would you want a wastegate on a supercharger? Much better to just set up the pulleys right.
  14. The one I've got's a vlsd with stub axles. I can't use it though as the washers are broken. Everything else seems fine.
  15. Was in the shed today so had a look. The stub axles just pull out, but they have a split ring around the end so they'll need a good thump. The washers I need are the ones behind the little planetary gears when you take them off. Don't think your mate would appreciate u giving them to me as the diff's no good without them.
  16. I haven't had a sube diff out for a while but don't they just have a ring around them the same as the other end that the inner cv goes onto? I've got one in pieces stashed away in the shed somewhere so shout out if you don't get it figured out. If you find some spare concave washers that the spider gears go against let me know cos I need some.
  17. [dreamy] yeah one day i'd like to move out to the hut, or wainui or somewhere like that...
  18. Unscrew the dashpots on the top of the carbs, they need to have oil in them to stop the venturi opening too quickly on flooring it. Don't remember what the level should be but regular motor oil does the trick. Standard old RV8 with twin SUs only has about 135HP but makes for a real nice cruiser. Used to have one in my van. Plenty of info on the RPI website http://www.v8engines.com/
  19. If you can find someone nice enough to cert your work, it's pretty straightforward. A lot of fitters won't even look at other people's work tho, so check it out and find someone first.
  20. The twin carbs from a GT would add a little bit. great thing about hydrolastic is that it's sooooo easy to lower the car.
  21. Solid steel? Tim's given up the game and is now living in a shed in Tawa.
  22. That's the twin 40 DGAS I believe. Not too common, but not too expensive either. Both chokes open at once on it. DGAV is a pretty sweet carb, good compromise between economy/drivability and top end if it's a road car.
  23. Yeah ttahts the shizz Lot of people recommend using cheap shit $10 oil for the start to help bed in the rings. Change after a few hundy and then again at maybe 1000ks
