  1. Failed to get it apart anyway, bent a piece of angle iron trying so will take it back to the shop in Wellington for a discussion
  2. I might make one of those tools to get it spot-on, but right now it's 16mm too short for the M/C so something is way out of whack. I understand that the reaction disk is loose and can fall out if the pushrod is pulled forward. Since I got it back from the first shop with the booster separate from the M/C I suspect that's what happened. CBC re-did the M/C, not the booster (yet...)
  3. I can make a new end, but I shouldn't need to. It's already wrong so I won't be any worse of.
  4. Round 27 in the Holden brake hassles. Sent M/C back to CBC, came back with no commentory so I dunno if they changed anything. Made a bench setup so I can test drive it. Has special large fittings so using the factory pipes however I can. After a big round of measuring it's apparent that the booster pushrod isn't poking out far enough. I suspect the reaction disc might have fallen out so I guess it's time to yank the booster out and split it for a look. Lovely recon booster eh?
  5. Could try and if no go find somewhere else? What about the place on the Petone foreshore?
  6. Right, next piece on the rear lower quarter. I'm doing this in smaller pieces so I don't mess up the shape too much. Got the wood piece out of the box again to check the positioning of the patch, needed some adjustment. Poo welding - I really need to try the tig on this sort of thing. Grind, sand, etc. Bit of zinc spray for now. The sill replacement is piece I bought and came in the boxes with the wood. I'll leave it off for now until the inner sill is sorted.
  7. Next step 1992 Isuzu Elf | Trade Me Motors
  8. I understand that a turbo cuts down on exhaust noise quite a bit.
  9. Oh, it was Rod Clifton up in Te Horo years ago. But radiator shop maybe or something like that.
  10. When I did that to a gas tank I took it to a man who mostly straightened it out using levers etc through the sender hole.
  11. There's an sold school radiator guy in behind the Caltex in Levin who I've used for recores. Probably worth a chat with him. Be prepared for sticker shock if you want a copper/brass core.
  12. Nice going @kicker - sounds good and no unwanted fires
  13. Might be going one weekend soon, but not this weekend.
  14. The continuing process of remaking the bottom of the B-pillar. I've been doing it in smaller pieces to keep the shape references. This area is almost all hidden when the wood and sills go on anyway.
  15. I don't understand, you haven't driven it for months and you are worried about the price of petrol? If you want an economy car buy a Yaris.
