  2. I kill a pump every year or so in my project car which doesn't move much. I think the stale fuel does them in. SO I'd suggest draining the tank and refilling with fresh juice. Have had problems in the past with a kinked return line too - that wrecked another pump.
  3. Pram Ram. Seems like a lot for a 20 y.o. truck?
  4. My wheels didn't need anything special - not hub-centric at all - and got certed with no issues. You don't need a cert just for different wheels anyway. Nothing in the virm (WOF) rules either https://vehicleinspection.nzta.govt.nz/virms/in-service-wof-and-cof/general/tyres,-wheels-and-hubs/tyres-and-wheels
  5. No Dodge Ram at that site yesterday afternoon. Came through later tonight (in the dark) but didn't note anything.
  6. Have been through cert with airbags recently. Don't think there is anything in the rules about compressors - I only run one (engine driven). In fact I don't think you need to have a compressor at all as the rules provide for using a high pressure supply (e.g. dive bottle) to the air bag tank. You need to have an external fill valve on the tank as well. Mine is just driveable when aired out, but can't turn at full lock. Book says "Must have adequate clearance between the wheels and tyres and suspension or bodywork at any stage of suspension travel" Certed by Andy Smith in Levin. The airbag section of the HCTM is online http://lvvta.org.nz/documents/suplementary_information/HCTM_SAMPLE_Chapter-6_Suspension%20Systems_airbag-hydraulics.pdf
  7. Berry chassis? Good choice on the engine!
  8. I drive past daily - will try to remember to take a look tomorrow.
  9. This may be the correct place to drop this link? http://ekartingnews.com/forums/topic/the-ultimate-barn-find-turboniques-twin-t-16-rocket-kart/
  10. You can just make your own ends from appropriate steel tube and threaded rod to suit urethane or rubber bushes.
  11. Bit of off-seal action this weekend. This is the normal ride height.
  12. Yep. No tires now, as I swapped those onto the Radirs. I'll likely mount them up on the wall of the shed somehow, although I was thinking they'd make a nice side table with some glass on top. Wife likely will disagree though.
  13. I have a set of fucked astros in my shed - cracked welds/show only.
  14. Only if they are from leaking oil. Old bochures are cool, I have quite a few Morris Minor ones, some for the Mercury, but only one for the Holden (and it is HT not HG).
  15. Have to wonder about the stains though....
  16. It's all assembled now, with top welded on. I see that this pic was taken in 2006. How time flies!
  17. I took a look inside the fuel tank of my project car today, which has been built for a number of years, and had fuel sitting in it for about 4 years while I (don't) work on it. I like to keep it in running order to make it easier to move around but it has eaten a number of pumps. The tank is fairly rusty inside (on the bare steel) and I need to de-rust and seal it. I have used the POR15 kit before (years ago) and it worked OK I guess. The outer shell is zintec, and I should have used it for the internal bits too. Is it still the best available, or are there other products around. I really only want to do this once, and have it last a long time. Anyone ever had a tank zinc plated/galvanised?
  18. I'll attend, or pay even if I don't. Not real fussy on the movie so long as it isn't More American Graffiti. Pork Pie?
  19. Buy shagged toyota. Strip. Sell carcass. Instant bolt collection and wiring looms etc. There is a reason I have a lot of Nissan bolts on my parts shel (and a few Commodore and Morris ones too)
  20. Geez, that sucks! Hope the insurance comes through for you.
  21. Oh yeah, the front view.
