An early SOHC oil pickip brings the pickup into the same spot, but has no extra bracketry, seems to be fine for them aslong as they dont get a hit. I've seen two take small nudges and snap the oil pump.

Was over at a mates place the other day, he was telling me that the clutch he just ordered for his rx7 gbox wouldnt fit, but went on sweet after some wirebrush action on the input shaft, as it was all gunked up originally. Failing that, if you got it from repco theres a small chance that the plate in the kit might be wrong, ive had it a few times when dealing with out supplier.

I had a warped sump once which did that, real pain. Also, the bolt holes usually get a bit bent, tap them down flat again with a hammer and dolly. another vote for threebond also.

Just try to find an l200 box from a 2 litre 1980's l200 sport, should fit with one, with no mods. I've got one, wasent hard to find. Whoa, drama! Dont really give two fucks if its the absolute best for performance, efficiency, driveability or whatnot. I just want to have fun, building a car I think is cool. This thread wasent anything to do with this idea being the absolutle bees-knees best of the best solution, just wanted some ideas as to whether it would work at all. Getting a tps onto the side wouldnt be to hard i rekon, and would run a map sensor also, with four points taken from the manifold. Bit of fab work here and there. Main reason i was thinking about it is because it would look pretty cool. I rekon i'll have a play, if it turns to shit, nothing lost . Cheers for your thoughts .

In a blue chevette me and CUL8R went halves in a while ago were a couple of gutted solex sidedrafts. Im wondering about the possibility of welding up all the excess ports and whatnot, and using them for throttlebodies on my DOHC 4g63. As the injector bosses are in the head, it takes care of that issue. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts. Im not sure what size they are, have '165' on the throttleplate is thats any use. Chur.
