  1. looking good man! where'd you get the carpet from?
  2. thanks guys, pretty stoked on how the wheels turned out, pine engineering certainly know their shit!
  3. so went with the 185/60/13's, not much stretch at all on the front, and only a little on the rear. Yet to have the car fully weighed down, but looks like clearance at the back will be all good - just! Guard gap is still bugging me a bit, but can't really go much lower without major mods unfortunately. Also gave up with my friend who was going to tidy up the valance for a cash job, he's way to busy and it looked lame without it on - so just sprayed it matt black and fitted it. Doesn't line up perfectly but looks better with it than without it. //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/53792-oldrx7s-1977-mazda-929-wagon-discussions/
  4. wow! crazy stuff man, that's a heck of a lot of power! Hope the cert is a painless process!
  5. cheers mate , had a used 185/60 dummy fitted onto the 7.5's and a 205/60 onto the 8's. think il go with the 185's all round, should clear the rear lips that way
  6. I think I know who's gonna win drag day!
  7. thinking i'll be getting 185/60/13's. I've got some old 205/60/13's that i'll get them to test fit and see. Gonna be tight!
  8. good thread ! lemme know when you're doing a days work neil, just down the road from me. will lend a pair of hands.
  9. man you dont muck about do ya bro! Shitty situation with the destruction of the motor, but ka pai on the new motor being ready to go so soon!
  10. awesome man! it's gonna be a hand full in such a small car once you can get those rev's up!!!
  11. Pretty excited to get these on the car!!!! tyre choice is gonna be interesting
  12. Managed to get some 1500 and 2000 grit sand paper and polished and painted another 2, came up a bit better than the first - time consuming and looks like they're just gonna be my skid wheels for drag day I'm thinking. Any updates on the wheels Roman?
  13. you'll see them in my project thread once I've got them bolted up to the car
  14. nice! yep they'll look good on it for sure, there used to be a red series 1 coupe from Christchurch i think that used to get about with hotwires on it. Yep 14's would be ideal, mine are 13's, but beggars can't be choosers with 4x110 as ya know.
  15. Sold the simmons huh!!? Agreeing with most on here that 17's would look too big on the coupe. Hotwires should look pretty good on there man! I'll have some longchamps in my possession soon, you'd be welcome to test fit them to see what ya think
  16. Stumbled on this on the interwebs. Anyone from here going? Been before? Any good? All those sorts of questions. Could be keen for a road trip from Auckland if anyone else is interested in going along.
  17. can use my wagon or the mrs' wagon; lemme know times on Saturday ... neither have back seat belts though, just so she knows for the kids
  18. Wat Does this really matter? would wof people know what has or hasn't been approved for road use?
  19. nice man you must be stoked for it to be on the road! looks schmick !!!
  20. ah nice, could be a bit more aggressive than a factory one then! yep wheels is next on the list once the diff is done, gotta little more $ to save up before il send them away , is your rx2 on the road? getting to any of the events this summer?
  21. Thanks man, would probably swap it for your rx2 if you want haha This is the 26 spline one out of a Series 3 rx7, and got it for $500, but getting some 24 spline side gears from MSF racing so it's going to be a bolt in job. will probably owe me about $8-900 by the time it's done, thought about a b1600 type upgrade, but I'd end up spending about the same and meh, fairly sure it'll be strong enough, not really going for huge wide max grip tyres on this anyways. When I had my 808 (2007) I bought a drum to drum 24 spline lsd for $1000, pretty sure they'd still be the same-ish price?
