  4. Is that what you were on last year? on that last day we were very evenly matched! Two hours of drafting and overtaking, then being drafted and overtaken, then drafting and overtaking again. That was one of my highlights! (there were many) This year I wont have a tent and bed roll. So I might have an extra .333333kph top end at full tuck. LETS DO THIS!
  5. My name is Bart, I've been sober for about 9 hours now. I hate long walks on the beach, I do enjoy sinking piss, and laying down sharns of biblical proportions. My trusty steed Ronnie the Dio isn't all that fast. He's stock bar about $20 worth of parts of aliex. What he lacks in go, I have to compensate for with my generous testicular endowment. Plus he can sit wide open all day every day. And never miss a beat.

  7. Clamp that manifold to the bed of a mill, and machine the top right off it. then slap on an Eaton M122. We both know you want to. Maybe get it in and running first though eh?
  8. Can you lower the profile of the engine by reversing that throttle body housing somehow? Reroute it back into the heater plenum? A muscle car style bonnet will work in your favour two fold. Bonnet clearance, and if its open at the back it will aid air which has been through the radiator to exit the engine bay.

  13. I have heard a mate say they weren't allowed to use some stainless steel cleaner at his work anymore. (He's a TIG welder) perhaps that had that shit in it? I also saw a tech bulletin at a brake shop once saying that certain kinda of brake stuff will convert into that if the car has been burned out. And it will keen burning you in till you get an injection to reverse it.
  14. When I first read your build thread, I thought sound more wounding than a pipe bomb wrapped in 12 layers of 4 inch nails. But as your thread has progressed, it's actually grown on me. You can pretend you're an early '80s playboy zipping around in your proper british sports car.........
  15. I dropped the injectors off to get serviced this morning. It used to honk out a monster cloud of black when the 'Tec kicked in. So there's no harm in optimising their performance. Nice spray pattern should improve fuel economy too.

  17. Had another fuck with it tonight. It's only firing on one cylinder. Pulled all the plugs. All bar one were dry as a bone. The other one was black. Blocked injectors?
  18. I've used Kephos 253. It's phosphoric acid Bourne in a solution of xylene. Dries fast etc. But wear a respirator. Otherwise it will blow your head off. (Even usng it outdoors it'll make you high as fuck)
  19. Day two was cold AF last year. Mutu road.was drizzly/miserable, but not crazy cold.
  20. The battery lIves on the charger. (Charger drops to .5v once it's charged ) Tbh I don't recall checking the sparking plugz something to try I guess.
  21. So the Mrs pride and joy has been getting a birthday after a seven plus year park up. It ran when parked, #ranwhenparked but when we began trying to put it back on the road, it no go. car is an EF8 crx with a B16A. The fuel pump was stone dead. I bought a new one and installed it.(Yay for rockauto!) Fuel.tank was badly caked with fuel scale. Had it chemically cleaned out. New fuel filter. Fresh gas. new pump made the right noises, but when cranking the engine would only give the odd fire. Then I got paranoid that being from 'Murica the pump might not be an EFI pressure one. Last night I rigged up a pressure gauge and tested the fuel pressure. Came up to what you'd expect for EFI. about the only other thing I can think of is maybe the injectors are blocked to shit with old gas. Before I hook them out and have them cleaned, what other things might cause this problem? I know what most bits on the engine do, but there's some of the white man's magic in there is mysterious to me.
  22. I'm extremely disappointed that you're not fitting knock off chinese Bride seats, procured off a sideways hat page on farcebook. You'll never be able to rip.it like Lil jonny without them. you'll likely also not suffer back injuries from broken seats either.
  23. Have to stuff a bottle in the old back pack. I'd rather be dusty on day two than be riding the Motu on 6 and a half cylinders. Camel back full of jack perhaps?
