There's drags on the 13th of aug. And I have a datsun club run the following weekend.

Single cam A31's and R32's have r180's. (short nose)

I used to buy parts of a guy who lived in the big old house adjacent to the mueseum. He reckoned the guy was a bit of a dreamer/wanker. There is some cool shit out the back, but lots of it is too old/fucked to bother with. I also know someone who let him display a motorbike, only to have him sell it to someone over seas.

I've seen an S13/A31/R32 complete rear subframe sectioned down and shoehorned into a front skid 323 wagon. (Now rear skid) The earlier type nissan IRS rear ends that came with the longnose diffs, weren't as good as the later style stuff. I have a complete r32 rear end sitting around if you feel the need to run a tape measure over it.

Twas a great day out. Anticipating it being rained off, I didn't bother to remove my lowering blocks to allow the fitemnt of my sticky tyres. I really wish I had. Traction was a big issue. (Isn't it always! lol) The 185/50/15's I had on the rear were up to fuck all. Despite having some stella reaction times, I lost heaps of races I woulda otherwise won. The DOT rated drag tyres will be coming out next time for sure!

Nice and cold for making power, and nice and cold for no traction. All adds up to nice slow times. lol

X2. I've even had loctited bolts come undone under extreme conditions. I reccommend chasing the threads with a tap, and cleaning the holes out with brake clean and compressed air.

You'll need to get your car tech inspected. PM me, and I can give you the number of a guy who does Tech inspections. He's a real GC too. You'd want to get in quick though, as you'll need to send away to the NZDRA to get your log book before the meeting. You used to be able to pay extra at the track and get your logbook on the day. But the PBDRC have dumped the NZDRA as their sanctioning body. So the area steward probably wont be there to do that. (He works at my work, I'll ask him this week) Not to worry though. for this coming drag season, PBDRC will still allow cars with NZDA tech to race without wof and reg. My car was teched last season, and it's a big saving over paying through the nose to keep a car road legal. Especially if you hardly drive it on the road like me.

Was it really? I met a bloke 7 or 8 years back who reckoned if you took it away they guy would give it to you. Then other people reckoned it had been made from the wrong kind of concrete and it wouldn't float. Someone else reckoned that someone was living in there, and there was a bar set up in it. If it's been moved, I pity the neighbours of it's new owner.

I just got home from a 21st, (On antibiotics, so I couldn't drink, hence being home so early) and I noticed that the big black boat on the corner of endsors rd and ferry road is gone! Th's been a chch landmark for as long as I can remember. There's an excavator sitting in the lot where it was, and the building beside it is gone too. I wonder if it was moved, or if the mean old excavator converted it onto hardfill for the new pier at Lyttleton? If so, the earthquake claims another victim. Boarderline spam? maybe. I kinda thought it was worth a mention.

I might race. Hopefully it's cheaper with the new sanctioning. Racing is from 12-5. I'm not sure what time the gates open.

Lowering blocks are probably an easier way to go. If you get your leaves reset, get the eyes reversed. (Assuming anglebox leaves are configured the same as a datto 1200) when leaves are flattened out, they lose their eliptical shape. I found when running dead flat leaves that the springs didn't work very well at all. (Had significant traction issues) Belemy and east in flasgrave street can reset your leaves, they also sell new U bolts and I assume lowering blocks. (I made me own blocks)
