  1. from memory your ones look something liek this? give up and make a steel flange, weld a short length of tube on and cut some radiator hose to slip between carb and flange/tube/ 2 bandclamps stz then never worry about those crappy things ever again.
  2. whye u written off getting it welded, repair welders have allsorts of oddball machinary just for fixing odball things like this they fix the impossible every day, there experts at it even it could be really simple and cheap but youl never know till you ask. lots of manlove to repair welders

  5. the rx7s ex volvo truck turbo has a t3 flange but i want a t4 flanged truck turbo you can try it it you like its pretty big /its 1.35 exh .75 front twinscroll
  6. if you get the correct cable for the head your using you can just heat the end up and pull the fitting off and crimp it onto the ford cable couldnt be sure on such early mazda stuff but s1 - s5 is a really common end used in toyotas etc -> 'old house keyhole shape' youve been aroudn mazdas for ages im sure u know this anyway

(next meet is 15th of june btw) id imagine retep130 will be there 0.1% chance of actually fixing car so ill be going slow/erratic numbers all day just wearing out my motor if its reallyreally lucky i might soften the suspension. but i doubt it. you still keen if its 15th?

  15. as per my last post, found what seem to be suitable pistons in a motor more common on this forum, anyone in aux got one in bits i can measure up a piston/a wrecked piston i can borrow etc/ill bring beer and drink it with you while i measure it/ inspect it etc? are all the pistons in these the same? working from parts catalogs is pretty unhelpful, there flat top as far as i/google images can tell? love you
  16. id love to see a vid of someone cutting a window out with wire, i tryed it on 2 windscreens, 2 rear windscreens, and 4 1/4 windows with 0% success (demoderby cars, used crowbar)

  18. i dont actually know what the crank is but it has the same stroke as the leyland, at any rate the motor has been happily(?) run hard for some years just it needs an overbore and its got some odball pistons in it to suit the factory rods (with big half moons machined out of them to clear the crank) so i was looking for something else to replace with, all those r motors according to the cattledog had bores 88 to 92, im aiming for 90 so was hoping the oversize of the smaller ones would put me in about the right place.
  19. 18R, 3R, 5R, 6R, 22R, i know nothing about these motors besides im pretty sure they house the size of pistons i want for a rover v8 with a leyland crankshaft according to an acl catalouge based on comp height diameter and pin diameter, (have to machine skirts a bit) and a crude drawing of combustion face, are they common? anybody know of one laying around id like to have a look at the combustion face etc before i go order 2 sets and change my mind

  23. you can get tachs that work off your alternator my cousin got anal sex over this/they changed it so they could turn it on and off for when they got pulled over. this is small town sth island i highly doubt youd get done in a city "sir please drive 1 km and stop again" in peak hour traffic.
  24. hay hotti if you get it dropped in onehunga i can pallet/wrap/load at workshop from 4 mon-thur and from 1.15 fri and all day sat sun./if its dropped in in those times it can be picked up whenever. id pick it up but rangirover is overnight parts from japan stz/
