Because alot of cars don't have drain bungs, it's the easiest way to make a car safe to store. Do us a favor and hit alt+f4

@Dolan had one of these, rode the piss out of it.

That's a bit rough, looked like a sweet place. Department of Closing things love ruining fun for 4x4 owners, unless you're a hunter then that's ok. You're welcome in the central north anytime, Pureora forest has a few gnarly tracks (Testament and i got real stuck and slept the night in his jeep), and even a play area that king country club looks after.

You guys still got access to the yard or is that shut to everyone now? Looking amazing too, be sweet to catch up at Thompsons track or similar one day.

I think I know the spot, there was an uphill section that was really slippery and rutted with the only chance of getting up it was to commit and just send it. Was happy I had a locker on that one. Someone went halfway up, stopped then tried to reverse back down the hill. However his Tyre tracks went off the side of the track into even slipperier mud. -

Pete will be more familiar with what closures actually happen, but DOC says it's closed to 4X4 1 may - 30 November. I'm not sure if they actually put gates up, but I saw concrete bollard type things at the side of the track. -

I've got 33" mud tyres and a locked rear diff so it wasn't too bad mostly, there were a couple of places that would be tough going for open diffs and smaller tyres though. Also we went from Kapoors rd to owhango which is downhill and it felt like the gnarly stuff was downhill, so go that direction. Dunno about deer, I don't go hunting so I don't look for it. -

A list of things that happened over the last few months. Fitted bumpstops all round and spacers on the rear so the tyres stop having a party inside the arches. Rebuilt the brake modulator as some internal things broke. (miserable) Bought another range rover for parts. Replaced the abs accumulator. Replaced broken wing mirror. Last week flatmate and I decided to go do 42 traverse, but thought it would be a good idea to weld the rear diff first. 42 is a bit gnarly at points now, as usual I forgot to take many pics because I was busy trying to not to fall off the track like one guy did. -
@Firetruck was running 20-25 depending on turbo and how cold it was? Went hard as fuck with the CT26.

I heard a tale of @kpr hugging an lpg bottle and cracking the valve when a bit more zing is needed.

Can you cunts not drive? Had supermeows on my 20V Carib and it was sweet. Even did dual sprints at taupo and got similar lap times to guys with semi slicks.

We are a small team of electricians and me as service technician in the sunny central North. You'll need to be a registered electrician or have EST, have a good selection of hand tools and not be a cunt. The work you'll be doing is mostly service type, so lots of machinery including farms and whiteware. You'll also need to be OK with crawling around ceilings as we do a fair bit of general electrical work too, though we do have an apprentice for that shit. On call roster means you'll be on every fourth week, there's a retainer plus overtime for being on call. Ideally you will be familiar with working on domestic, commercial and industrial machines as we are the company that gets called when others have tried and failed. You get a van, phone and tablet. We run electronic job/time sheets from our tablets so there's virtually no paperwork or writing. There's a lot of flexibility in the role and the boss is really easy going. https://www.seek.co.nz/job/36091008 Simon.
