  1. Oh man, this is awesome!! can't wait to see it all pieced together
  2. we'll be unable to attended if you are all wondering xox
  3. Sheeeit looking good Tom! I'm digging the rear wheel colour too..I think you should paint the front rims to match. The white just looks a bit in your face eh
  4. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/wheels-tyres/alloy-wheels/auction-943372228.htm something like these although less tyres and hopefully cheaper haha
  5. oh man, those 9s look boss as but would need flares no dout..those 'U.S. INDY MAG'/tridies are 8.5 -heaps and look superb so the tops ones could be a goer although, keep your eyes peeled on trademe cos there are always sweet 6 stud stz popping up
  6. westcoasters would set this off perfectly lookin good!!!
  7. ahhh I only just saw this... did you still need a tow rig? take my van and drive it off the tip face with your rubbish if you like
  8. can't believe they just massacred one of the most beautiful wellsides ever made!! holy shit! but I have to go with the general consensus here; any wellside is better than no wellside. I'd def wanna see some better pics and I would probably relocate the taillights back to were they originally were (they look cool with the smooth round edges etc). Would be a lot of fucking around though. The pumped guards...well I guess they are just asking for wide rims now!! Might also lend themselves to flares a bit better though...
  9. hmmmm 5 stud Streets are pretty rare too (and thus $$$), esp in a decent size. I'm not so sure on getting a new wellside and then butchering it with flares hah. I think it would be best to find something that fits within the standard guards...although, they are a funny guard that don't really lend themselves to wide as reyums. I have some 15x8.5 6stud tridents you can use to mock up if you like. possibly a bit wide tho.. but we can see!!
  10. Jif is great. Have had good experiences in the past for both flappers and painted on whitewalls
  11. visor def changes the look of this wee van. i still think black steels, thin whitewall and a mini hubcap would look sweet!
  12. So, cannot modify the original part, but can make a new replacement? Hmmm an option but I think you're right Clint, stick with raising the motor a touch and modding the sump will be the easier option.. Will get some better photos on the weekend!
  13. Now there is an idea! Ummm fairly tall but not super. Relitive to the body I guess it is. Have not checked Granvia van but will do Hmmm had not crossed my mind but might be more of a headache??
  14. Yep them's some good points. will see what ol Clint says but as it is steering...could be a nah.
  15. lol you are missing the picture dave. It is already a rear sump! The notch in the sway bar is not the main concern, it's the center link for the steering at the front. Ky, I could possibly mount it a bit higher, but would be preferable to keep it where it is. Just seeing if this is a possibility/what can be done to the center link as it sits very high at the moment relative to the cross memeber
  16. Front sump would be worse. Dry sump would be too race car
  17. Good thought wise Old Man Southern, but I forgot to mention it is already a rear positioned bowl. Will have to get in there with the ol measuring tape to get a better idea/even a better pic might show it, but its pretty tiot/not much clearance from crank to the center link. It would be ideal/preferable to have a little more clearance/not a massive notch in the sump so am seeing what is out there at this stage! Dayfe, will prob go all white for a start with a simple pinstripe... but if we get together for a couple of rums, who knows what we might think up again! will head over sunday to get more pics/measurements!
