  1. Don't recall it doing it when I drove it. Maybe I have a gift though. In other news. Cool to see some GT's about.
  2. That weld is curious, surely it was done early in the life of the head though as I would have imagine that the kind of engine it is would have ha a large area of time where it was cheaper to buy a replacement whole engine than to have the head welded to repair anything.
  3. A lot of British and Australian steel used to have a little or steel alloy tag in the engine bay sometimes they were stamped/pressed with the numbers, often when stamped the stamps were horrifically shallow and would wear over time along with the paint that indicated fields. Some cars had none at all, some cars used the engine number as their VIN number or vice versa, which is stupid but hey.. that's how it is/was.
  4. Nice to see the Nissan name on there somewhere.
  5. To be honest, that one looks like a nice flat german/military grey with select parts done in flat black. It's all in the details. Dusting the whole car in flat black would look hamburger.
  6. I just cackled like an old maniacal witch Good man. The gilmers will have something to back them now, choice. That's exactly what this old tank needed IMO, the ability to bake tyres whilst rolling at 100kph+ at the mere movement of the right foot.
  7. pies was doing it justice it was just taking a while, nothing wrong with that. It's a shame pies couldn't keep it but it's nice to see it went to someone who appreciates it as pies did. Good luck with it man, mesh wheels aren't my thing but I like the engine idea, inline 6's baby, that's the stuff. (except for the 2.6 M, ewww)
  8. Factory 5 or converted? Sweet though man, still want an S13, just not at driftflation prices.
  9. Ah, the joy of stumbling across previous owners bog jobs, I know that sadness all too well.

  11. That cowl to hide the charger you're putting on? *crosses fingers*
  12. Fuck BF, go to the Wendy's on Dominion Rd, there's enough underground parking there for the small amount you have come to park your cars and it should be sufficiently lit.
  13. Fuck doing that stuff man. I have no inclination at all to clean any of my engine bay parts
  14. A shame, but on the plus side... at least you won't have trouble getting parts
  15. Whereabouts is the setup? Palmy? Let me know too, pretty certain my brother would be keen on that for the VB110. He won't need to save the cash either... damn engineers.
  16. Strange, those SU's were in use on an L28 before I got them to put them on my L24
  17. Not 100% on whether it will or not, but I can't see why not. Looking at pictures, the fronts are more similar than I thought they were, I thought changed the indicator arrangement, but it would appear not. Or at least not to a point that it would be of consequence.
  18. Turns out I've only got the centre grille and lamp sections, don't have the headlamp buckets. The spacing will be the same as 110/230/330/610/basically any quad lamp Datsun/Nissan. I do have some spare 110 buckets but they wouldn't work without modification and they're my spares so I'm not really keen on selling them. Shouldn't be too hard to pick up something from another quad lamper that you could drille a few extra holes in here and there. Here it is anyway; Using my spare 110 buckets;
