  1. Probably not gonna be a popular comment but its better without a Rotary anyway
  2. Ill give you a hint, her last two posts in this thread are entirely about him
  3. We have plenty of 4x100 cars but most of them have wheels like this: The only way to get decent 4x100 wheels for an old school car is to be incredibly lucky or import something from UK. But given the average NZer earns about NZ$2 for every pound someone in Britan earns yet the exchange rate is roughly 3:1 so prices are half as much again, then add freight and tax which will double the price again...meaning wheels are about 3 times the price as in the UK and alot more mucking around
  4. C110 maybe from Repco etc. Dont try Nissan. Least thats what I found with the J
  5. As above really. Not sure on the shade of purple but nothing new there. Such a bargain, and Im impressed to get in a brand new car that old and drive it that far without any troubles is mean.
  6. Its even remarkably watertight with the hardtop on. Probably just about the only person in NZ to drive one today
  7. Waimaks is the only person with a Jap to say hes keen anyway...not that any of have hot rods. Hell mine isnt even modified...fail.
  8. Probably more suitable than mine For someone that knows Fielding (ie not me) wheres a suitable place to meet? Gates open at 7 so is 7.30 too late?
  9. Think this deserves its own thread otherwise undoubtedly nothing will happen. Is anyone interested in meeting up beforehand and going and parking together as some sembalance of a display. Will require an early start (7.30am at Manfield maybe?) Guess there should be some minimum standard but if you think your car is worthy Im sure it is. 10. Ah thats even easier, saves me a trip out to the hutt. Cheers Pies
  11. Does anyone coming from Wellington have some spare space? I need to get a 21" tv to richards and can take it myself but its a rather tight squeeze so if someone else could fit it in would be easier?
  12. Yeah is saturday AFAIK. Thinking along the lines of 7-7.30ish. Happy to put my car on show if people want to do that as a club.
  13. Agreed, buy a tap and die set. Then use the correct one, its easy to screw a metric tap through an imperial nut
  14. Yes you can still get Revolutions. Theyre on my list (4 spoke ones) for the midget when I feel richer I reckon stick with the current wheels and polish them up with dark centres
  15. Love it Id definately own one if we could get them here
  16. Agreed on the wheels. leave the hubcap chrome and paint the wheel

    PAINT THREAD

5-8k is more than an average paint job. For the two cars ive done including door jams and boot but not engine bay it cost me $3,200 and $2,700. Both were without any hookups and turned out as good as a factory job.
  20. How about a gator grip socket?
  21. Hi Dan I prefered it on the alloys with the chin spoiler. However Im glad to see your looking after it
  22. Ragtop? Looks like steel to me...or does ragtop mean something other than its a cabriolet?
  23. As the person with the least comfortable car to sleep in I reserve some floor space
