  1. I did this a while ago. Being a later '67 pan, I had the big flat type pedal that hinges on the floor pan. After seeing some skateboard wheel roller pedal conversions, and then actually using an original one when we borrowed my workmates oval for the Orewa nationals, I decided I had to do the conversion. $50 got me a nice original oval pedal assembly, but it turns out they're completely different between years so I just hacked up a '67 assembly and made my own. Take one accelerator linkage, a small piece of round stock (need to extend the arm up a bit), a bolt and a skate board wheel.... A bit of cutty cutty, weldy weldy, and you have the finshed product
  2. Wait, what? Is this an update...not really haha! I've a lot going on in the last 6 months so haven't really touched the dub, but hoping to get back in to seriously very soon. Spent a few hours today going through upholstery samples for the seats and have narrowed it down to two:- Tan (with flash) Tan (without flash) Or Camel (with flash) Camel (without flash) What do you guys reckon? Discussion: http://www.oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=14691
  3. Nice job! Is that an off-the-shelf kit or did you have it made? I need to recover my seats
  4. Thanks for the props fella. I think the Serena arses can be a bit of a bitch to setup. Something about getting the toe set up right IIRC? Anyway, when it's air ride time, manual ball valves for el maximo respeto These are those gauges I was telling you about http://downundertruckin.com/forums/view ... ilit=b1600

    4x800w amp?

QFT. I love seeing the mega spec'd amps for sale on Tardme that 'pump da mad beatz bru', that only have a single 10/15 amp fuse. I've got an old Alpine 3566 6-channel that's only rated at 240w RMS, yet has 2 x 25 amp fuses. They sure don't make them like they used to

    4x800w amp?

I'd be willing to bet my left gonad it wouldn't even be putting out half the RMS IRL.
  7. What a load of shit. If laquer is looked after properly, it will last just as long as 2K. I've seen laquer look just as good as the day it got sprayed, 23 years after the fact. Also, this is laquer WITHOUT clear Sure if you have a bit of money to spend, the skills to spray and a temperature controlled spray booth to use, go 2K, but IMO, if you're going to paint your first car, in a shed, using basic equipment, then use laquer. It's cheap, forgiving and doesn't have as many asociated health risks.
  8. Do it! Also what's the story with the '58/9 in the backrground. I need a good drivers door if you have anything lying around?
  9. That makes two of us! It's going to be close, but it's looking good at the mo
  10. Gotta say I'm pretty stoked. Got some new trim for the windscreen and got that shiz installed today aswell
  11. Lolz, my old man had the exact same radio. Must have had it for at least 20 years before it finally let the smoke out. Truck is looking good matey.
  12. That's weird they're not working, links should still be all good? How's it going in Oz? Patience grasshopper, all in good time! I don't have any yet...I'm going to run it through a WOF before I throw on the wheels/suspension. Dropped $300 on all new lights, bulbs and relays this week. Hopefully will get all the wiring and a few other little things ironed out over the weekend and book it in for a WOF next week. Fngers crossed!
  13. So sweet. Looking forward to seeing more. What are you going to do to get around the no fender business?
  14. Just finished the headliner. I started off with some upholstery card, put down a thin layer of dacron padding followed by some black fabric, then pulled apart an old bamboo blind, punched the holes and tied the bamboo down. After about 7 hours Then after 16 hours (over the last 4 nights), 600 holes, multiple stabbed fingers and a few splinters, this biarch is done. Will get some installed pics tomorrow.
