Bit late on the update but the E28 has been going for a while now. When I first did the manual swap I put the flywheel one bolt hole off (orientation in relation to the crank), and since they take TDC off the flywheel I had to pull it all off again. Only took 6 hours the second time though so no big deal. Got a new black lower center console, made the vinyl gear boot, painted the rest of the center console bits black and got the proper gear knob for it. Just need the emblem now. It's so much better to drive with the manual, just like it should always have been.

From what I know that should be Kjet and CE2, correct? Should be the same as a Golf 16v really, what do you need to know?

I swapped in the mk3 tank and used the mk3 pump setup but the Mk2 digifant one should work.

I will be following this. These are one of the few Japanese cars that I really would like to own one day (don't get me wrong, I appreciate a lot of Japanese cars, just not my thing to buy). All the best with the project.

I know I'm a bit late to the party but I'm very much looking forward to see this put together. I've really liked these cars since I was about 10. Will be following to see the end.

Put the polished manifold on today. I tidied up the injector wiring by running it under the manifold and gave the fuel rail a quick polish. Hard to stop once you start. I also installed this cool carbon airbox I got. Quietened down the diverter valve a lot. I'll polish the ends of it later on when I get a chance. Will also do something about the throttle body which is letting everything down, I was going to paint it but got a bit impatient.

Small update. Lowered the back of the car a while back by a notch. Sits much better now, much more even. Today, after many, many hours of sanding and spending a few hours polishing today, I finished my intake manifold: Will try put it on within the next week. More to come. Also, my front tyres are almost bald.

I would love to attend but won't make it this time round. Definitely interested in next time. Unfortunately I don't have a shed to offer as all my work is done on my parent's driveway at this point in time.

Just had a quick read through the build, nice work. Looks good on the RS's, but I did like it a lot of the Hotwires too. And, I approve of the burnout photos.

Heard there's a stancedubz pre-meet you could go too, but your car is probably too old and not stance enough for them.

I'm pretty sure they are the same for all of them. Qualitat sell some Topran ones for $150 (was a few years ago that I bought it) but that failed after about 2 years so I wouldn't get that. Actually there are a few Mk2s at Upick, if you want I could go over there and get those for you (if you aren't in Auckland). As for the headlight lens, that it common to happen with the factory glue. A few times now I've pulled the grill off a Mk2 and have the lens fall off as well. I've actually got some lowering springs I'm selling, will send you a PM. Let me know if Mitch doesn't have any.

No spark will more than likely be the TCI-H unit, the little computer thing that sits on top of the ECU. They always fail.

I know this is quite late but I really like that headliner. Might have to come see you sometime for something similar in the e28.
