  1. There's a spreadsheet of Pinto cams here https://www.classic-ford.org/cfp/tm.aspx?m=20701 There are only two cams listed with 308D inlet and exhaust (neither match your other codes), but could give you some ideas for timing.
  2. Could be useful if the dipstick is hard to get to when installed in the Thames?
  3. If all else fails, try the P76 or Marina Facebook groups, HS6 was standard on the Aussie Marina, Tasman and 6-cylinder P76.
  4. If the electric power steering doesn't work out, there are a few cars that have had a combined alternator and power steering pump https://xks.com/i-7150766-jaguar-alternator-kit-mk-ii-mk-ix-with-power-steering-28-0397.html http://www.accuspark.co.uk/dynamatortype4.htm ... and quite a few that had an alternator and vacuum pump, that could possibly be cobbled up to do power steer or ac pump.
  5. Sweet. Holbay head, twin Webers and an overdrive. Perfection.

  7. Has anyone had experience of Powerspark electronic distributors, do they have a good reputation? Thinking of getting one for the Marina (which is missing the original Lucas 29D). About $200-$250 delivered with the correct advance curve. https://simonbbc.com/why-fit-powerspark-electronic-ignition/
  8. So does the Honda Jazz, Emergency Stop Signal in Honda parlance. And quite a few others https://www.caradvice.com.au/316242/emergency-stop-signal-explained/
  9. I'll take the Jag along on your behalf. The least I can do....
  10. Recaros look good. Some MGFs have red leather seats, or part leather. Probably not as sexy as Alfa seats or Recaros.
  11. One number out on the rego... (I see NU36 is on a red XJS 3.6)
  12. Yeah, sorry about that, work do was better than expected. Will definitely be there for January's meet.
  13. Could skip it, it's only food trucks and wanker beers in a downtown warehouse. Do we have a venue?
  14. A lot of cars have privacy glass from new, so you're tinting tinted windows.
  15. Autocar road test from 1 Jan 1965. https://www.flickr.com/photos/triggerscarstuff/albums/72157646375923746/with/14907323742/
  16. Commonly used Whitworth or B.S.F to SAE / A.F (inches across flats) sizes and conversions to metric and decimal inch dimensions. http://www.baconsdozen.co.uk/tools/conversion charts.htm
  17. Good source of ADO16 info and parts https://www.facebook.com/groups/ado16.info/
  18. Very nice. The Americans might have invented the drive-through, but the Brits invented the cupholder to make it civilised.
  19. Wonder if it was an Embassy car between '65 and '71? I think they had special plates that were assigned to the Embassy, rather than to specific cars (I could be wrong). Lovely car, great project. Have seen a few recently on the ADO16 facebook group.
  20. Quietly sporty system to suit '70s Pommie four banger with 100-120bhp - 2" pipes big enough, with a couple of Coby-style mufflers, or a two-box at the front and a resonator at the back?
  21. If I replace the original static 3-point seat belts with inertia reel belts using the factory-fitted anchor points, does that require a cert? (Pretty sure someone's asked before, but search didn't find an answer)
