  1. 1 & 1/4" SU = 31.75mm, 1 & 1/2" SU = 38.1mm, 1 & 3/4" = 44.45mm
  2. That's the same feedback I've heard from everyone who's fitted Superflex or Superpro brand bushes.
  3. Sounded like a good deal. Seats just need recovering, or repadding as well?
  4. Standard Vanguard was 5 x 4.75", same as Holden HQ-WB, Jag and small Chevy.
  5. Was that the barn find off Trademe? http://shop.roverp6cars.com/Braking
  6. There are different grades. Who made them and for what?
  7. Not one of these, I expect? But one of these?
  8. Unfortunately I'll be in Wellington, so won't be able to make it. Nothing queer as folk.
  9. This rear track control kit is supposed to cure that problem. http://www.monarch-stags.co.uk/productinfo.php?id=20
  10. I thought the Nissans also had a semi-trailing arm rear with a reputation for snap oversteer (just like early 3- and 5-series BMWs)? A cheaper solution might be to improve the Triumph setup? Plenty of upgrade parts available for the Stag and TR sports cars (including kits to fit Nissan diff and CV joints), iirc they used the same rear end as the 2500 saloons.
  11. This tip was recommended on another site for removing reluctant hubs :- "If you undo the rear hub nut a turn or so, then drive the car around the yard a bit - especially going from 1st to reverse a few times - the horsepower will do the job for you, and loosen the hub from its taper. If it works - and most do - you can jack the car up and disassemble the brake drum etc, remove the axle nut and simply slide the hub off - no 20 ton press required. This allows removal of the axle and bearing in a very straightforward manner."
  12. Triumph 2500 was 3.54 iirc. Nissan Z33 350ZX (2002-2009) manual had R200V with 3.538, auto had 3.357, should be reasonably easy to find. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2003-2009-Nissan-350Z-3-357-Ratio-Locking-Rear-Carrier-66k-ZK1436-/231683872215?hash=item35f16f55d7:g:WVoAAOSw4SlV8esS&vxp=mtr
  13. R200 tallest ratio is 3.357, according to Mr Google :- http://forums.nicoclub.com/the-ultimate-final-drive-gear-ratio-thread-t228683.html
  14. Quaife make an LSD to fit the Triumph housing, QDF23K. Palmside in Chch are the NZ agents. Have a read of "How to Improve Triumph TR5, 250 & 6" by Roger Williams https://books.google.co.nz/books?id=v9Vkqp4tFEEC&pg=PA31&lpg=PA31&dq=triumph+2500+lsd&source=bl&ots=VY18aYxvgp&sig=A1G1bvI0bVLipYrjWRjigAkx5PA&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiVpseKyM3TAhUBHJQKHZbUBGoQ6AEIWDAK#v=onepage&q=triumph 2500 lsd&f=false Altezza rear end might fit?
  15. Stellar was launched in 1983, white plates started with "NA" in Nov 86. Plastic bumpers first appeared on the Pontiac GTO in '68, on the Renault 5 in 1971, and locally on the Todd assembled Chrysler Alpine from 1977.
  16. Corvair 1960-64 were same as Nova/Chevy II at 4x4.5" (114.3mm), same as Nissan/Toyota/Triumph/MG etc. 1965-69 were standard Chevy 5x4 3/4" (5x120.65"). http://www.crankshaftcoalition.com/wiki/Wheel_bolt_pattern
  17. Do the wide wheels and flares (and/or other body mods) on this Rover need to be certed?
  18. Classic Mini are 4x4" 101.6mm plenty of 13x7 wheels for them, don't know about Cragars though.
  19. The crowd near me still have theirs, but they're midsized and do rods and classics as well as insurance.
  20. Any good body shop should have a chassis straightener (Car-o-liner or similar). They should also pick up any other chassis or bodywork that needs fixing, so worth a visit. Nice car, an uncle had a Rambler back in the late '60s.
