  1. As a kid i thought cobys were tractor mufflers for this very reason.
  2. Those are made in Pakistan i believe. Some super abusive old racist cunt used to drink vodka while swearing at me for hours while making me fit those repro' panels, the fit is terrible and i had to do many similar things to make them fit.
  3. Auckland doesn't have the same supply of classic/older/retro/novelty cars for that, no matter how much it 'grows' the cars, and the enthusiasts who attend the meets are a finite resource.
  4. Got a link for those spotlights?
  5. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/High-Quality-2PCS-1157-3157-7443-5630-28-SMD-Amber-White-28LEDs-LED-Bulbs-S25-T25/32782528533.html They turn amber when turn signal is on, white when park light is on.
  6. Would you like a lowlight grill? Can i interest you in some LED bulbs? If you're using the 5/21 style stop/tail bulb you can get double filament style LED in white or amber for using in the front. They make difference, but not 100% sure how big a difference you'll see (that and you'll need an electronic flasher).
  7. No hole for the park light bulb /Ling
  8. Where did you get genuine lucas H4 7 inch lamps?
  9. Confucius — 'It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.' i googled that. So.. some pictures of the very slow progress. This isn't all of it. Patches were welding into the header panel to hold it steady while i do the outside, then cut out the header panel and remake it and weld it back in place. It makes sense when you see the cab in person.
  10. So i'm not driving a dark shape without any lights on it. Battery goes flat fast with incandescent bulbs.
  11. Have i tried to sell you on the merits of LED lights lately? Even on high beam the amps draw is maybe... 1.2 amp? According to a century old gauge anyway... much less than the 10 amps they were previously drawing. And other people can actually see the lights now.
  12. Had a crash from that, wouldn't recommend it. Avoid chain/sprocket hitting ground.
  13. This is correct. A V8 and chassis has been detected. A large Lincoln Y-block has been detected for rapid sale but it's availability is questionable due to intense competition.
  14. We think it was a jailbar but some things have been tutu'd with it over time and i'm tempted to put 41 ford fenders on the front.
  15. Encourage me to repair the surprising amount of rust in this and fit it with period fenders & parts. Total floor replacement is a likely required.
  16. That's straight for a tractor (having worked in a tractor shop i saw some shocking things).
  17. Airbags probably. They delete many threads for who know what reason... Should put a nixie tube dash in a car to keep it period correct but piss them off because it's digital.
  18. i thought brown was the phase & black was the neutral? (Why i'm not an electrician)
  19. I used tealight candles as release agent a few times. Less mess. P.S. anyone got a vaccuum pump i can borrow for a day?
  20. i have an autsin diff but BDAkarl or whatever his name was wanted it.
  21. Pretty sure he doesn't touch beer though. But having a tiny tractor to make small tread patterns on the lawn is still cool though. Who am i kidding, drive it lots of places for a laugh.
  22. I've found rusty looking, magnetic steel that no matter how much it was annealed it would not even be scratched by anything, not even cobalt drill bits (which would go through stainless like butter). Doubt they'd be that stuff. but IDK what it was.
  23. Ive seen a W55 behind a leyland 4.4 (rover big block) so yes it should.
