  1. Kiwi808 - I guess that is your 808. Sweet car. liked the 1200 coupe as well. There were some nice cars there, should pull finger and have a car to go in (other than the family Volvo)
  2. Maybe, but it has been a long time now so anything could of happened
  3. Where is the from subframe bent, if at the front it is probably due to someone jacking it from there. You can straighten it easily
  4. Yep mini spares and lee at mini blitz is helpful
  5. Primer seems to be in exact same position as mine, all the common rust spots. Parts are cheap cheap from the uk.
  6. Let all the air out the tyre Loosen the tyre off the bead by jumping up and down on the side wall Push the flapper in between the sidewall and the rim Jump and beat on it till it looks seated nicely Inflate tyre See where it has unseated Deflate tyre jump and beat some more Inflate tyre Rinse and repeat till its all good Have fun
  7. The seatbelt laws dont seem to match the Wof rules. Pretty sure technically I dont need front belts in the Lincoln (1967) but everyone says I do. Its got lap belts all round already so not really concerned, its just when it comes to replacing them (if they get frayed etc) then I think the rules if not OEM I need to put in 3 point belts which will be a mission.
  8. What problems? Then we might be able to help
  9. Nice car, I had a UNO n/a a while back and it went so well for a 1300. Car was very plain and cheap inside but handled so well and the engine took everything I could give it, and it got a lot. Had so much fun in it. Had a tempest to but that was a bit boring.
  10. Agree drop tanks look shit. makes sense if stock tank has had it. I prefer a clean boot though. have to agree it is one sweet 2. Miss mine
  11. Why the tank in the boot instead of under?
  12. Yep, check battery and charging as you know there was an issue with the battery and things started from there.
  13. Sweet car, im doing a 1980 1000 at the moment. Stripping the whole lot and only have the subframes to go before panel and paint. I have rust in the same spot as you in the bottom outside of the foot well. I like the idea on the white steelies, im toying up with going with mini lites or sticking with the steels and the chrome/polished caps. Steels I wont need arches but minilites I will so need to make a decision I guess as I will go with group 2 and have them painted body colour
  14. Sure you want to do that?? At least you can get to them
  15. And especially if you keep running out of paint ..... or getting interrupted
  16. Looking real good, getting through it when you arent interrupted....
  17. Cool car, always loved them. I like the white wheels.
  18. what are the front forks off? you thought off going back to girder?
  19. Be careful in this regards. You want the engine to sit at its operating temperature which is controlled by the thermostat. With too much airflow through the radiator the water in the rad gets too cold and then when the thermostat opens up the engine cools to much which closes the thermostat and the process starts again - you will see the temp go from operating to cold to operating to cold etc etc Im going through this currently where I will have to block off the lower portion of the rad to get temp to sit at operating temp.
