Muncie Posted December 3, 2020 Author Posted December 3, 2020 Thats on the 100% untouched map that was in car too. Quote
tortron Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 about 2000 rpm is where the ecu will reset itself (tps etc) when the ecu has been unplugged, and then starts relearning on the next start up. Perhaps you have a wiring issue where the ecu is losing its memory/power overnight Quote

Muncie Posted December 4, 2020 Author Posted December 4, 2020 @tortronIm going to put my multi meter on the DFI power i wonder if ive got a voltage drop causing it to brownout and partially shut down causing weak spark as it stinks of fuel when it runs shit. Quote
Muncie Posted December 5, 2020 Author Posted December 5, 2020 @vk327 would you say this is an accurate accurate pinout for a vy? Multi meter says otherwise, best voltage i got from 2nd pin from left was 10.7 volts. Quote
vk327 Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 yep that diagram is correct, should be gettting 12v on pin P when ignition is on, check what the voltage is at your injectors too could have a high resistance relay or fuse feeding that circuit Quote
Muncie Posted January 7, 2021 Author Posted January 7, 2021 Another new crank angle sensor has resolved the issues i was having. Have flashed an Enhanced bin file into the Ecu, this is essentially a firmware update and makes changes a bit easier to make, nerve Racking though as flashing a Bin file is considered risky and can brick the ECU. It failed first attempt then sat with "No response from Ecu" message coming up for ages in OSE flash tool. It then came back to life and successfully loaded second time round. The new enhanced bin i got from the pcmhacking.net has some goodies that add a bit of extra ignition timing and line pressure to trans. Its a starting point and from here onwards i only flash in tune portions of the bin file. Its dead easy to do i just need some practice working in tunerpro making changes. If anyone knows their way round tunerpro please chime in. Quote
Muncie Posted August 27, 2023 Author Posted August 27, 2023 Can anyone help with this? I can not get Tunerpro up and running to see live data. Osm flash tool connects and works so it's just got to be something really small but im out of ideas. Quote
drftnmaz Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Probably no help but ~14years ago when i messed with Delco tuning stuff I remember being stuck and couldn't get the live tuning bit working. Turned out I had to load 2 different files into the program before it would work, was a very simple thing that took me ages before someone pointed it out, (like a Bin file and a xps file or somthing) because everyone else did this without thinking about it so it wasn't ever mentioned, lol. Unfortunately this was so long ago i can't remember the excat details sorry Quote

Muncie Posted August 1, 2024 Author Posted August 1, 2024 I'm still mucking around with tunerpro and Delco buggery with some reasonable success but still some problems. If anyone has or knows their way around this stuff I'd like to bounce ideas around. 2 Quote
Muncie Posted September 28, 2024 Author Posted September 28, 2024 At this point of the project I'm both open to help from others but can get around a Reflash pretty effectively. I've got a repository of good tunes both N/A and Turbo if anyone wants some basic stuff done like VATS switched off etc hit me up here. 2 Quote
Muncie Posted September 14, 2025 Author Posted September 14, 2025 Thought I'd update this as even though I haven't completely sussed Tunerpro and its weird shit it does I understand why it does the weird shit now, Basically I found that the adder subtractor setup in Tunerpro a bit frustrating when adjusting timing i wanted to see raw number timing numbers eg 12 degrees btdc would be represented by a number like 46...... that does not compute In my brain. Sooooo I trained an AI to interpret Tunerpro to guide me through using it more effectively and after a few months of feeding it the internet's knowledge and everything I'd already learnt first hand. I suggested building another Windows Application to handle the stuff thats not set and forget or even supported in Tunerpro. Currently It handles 2 step spark or fuel cut rev limit, ignition timing and fuel, all in raw figures you put in 10 degrees at x airflow it does it. As an extension to this ive set up a rough AutoTune I have to run a Tunerpro log session run the car then export as a .CSV and the app implements the required changes 50% at a time for now so it doesn't overcorrect as i run it very conservative anyway. I then flash back in using an existing tool thats out there as thats a wheel im not qualified to re-invent. 3 Quote
Muncie Posted September 14, 2025 Author Posted September 14, 2025 Once the cars running again i have plan to implement hijacking the data and connection from tunerpro and porting it into my Apps Autotune so it will update timing and fuel tables as you drive. Once its run the corrections you hit save and it auto versions the new Binary file and you flash it back in. Hopefully it works first time, fingers crossed. Plan is to develop it add in some more features then get it working for other platforms that can be tuned in tunerpro. 4 Quote
