Chris.QCR Posted March 31, 2019 Author Posted March 31, 2019 Yeah Balmoral is a nice spot for sure but Lake Taylor is about a hour inland and I fell in love with that doc campground. Gonna load the Van up and head there at Easter 1 Quote
Shakotom Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Fuck you’re a wild man. In awe of the distances you ride on that thing. So good 1 Quote
Mof Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Hey Chris Go thru the gate at Taylor camp, thru the next gate, about 150m further turn right onto the spit and camp there. Such lush. Don't take a rod unless you got a licence, or are prepared to lose $1000. Ask me how I know... 2 Quote
Chris.QCR Posted March 31, 2019 Author Posted March 31, 2019 Yeah we seen heaps of jumping fish and the lake was super flat @Mof. Will check it out for sure. Keen to take Van with a bike in the back to scope out some good spots Quote
Valiant Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Potential bombing spots at Lake Taylor? Edit: @Mof, how do you know? Quote

Chris.QCR Posted October 4, 2020 Author Posted October 4, 2020 This thing still fucking rules. Pretty much been my daily since December most days. Jammed this Chinese CG110 copy front end onto the CT Triples. Disc brake is lush as fuck.. So are the forks. Need to powdercoat the lower legs and front rim black to match the rest of the bike. This is half way thru a 250Km gravel bashing mission with some mates yesterday 8 Quote
Chris.QCR Posted May 23, 2022 Author Posted May 23, 2022 This thing still goes hard for what it is ! Well over 20k on the Lifan 125. Getting harder to start and possibly now starting to burn oil but still sticks with bigger bikes on the twistys and takes everything thrown at it as per the last two years of top of the south gravel adventures. Was gonna strip it this winter and rebuild with new engine but probably wont . Its likely the only ride it will be on each year as I prefer to cycle to work and run on the weekends but when I do ride it I fucking love it 6 Quote
Popular Post Chris.QCR Posted January 26 Author Popular Post Posted January 26 Been awhile between trips ! Basically the last time I rode this wss the 2022 Marlborough Moped Melee and had a fucking ripper of a time and enjoyed every moment. The bike got a absolute hiding and took everything I threw at it . Was getting harder to start. Was planning on taking it on the next one in 2023 and had booked Accomadation and annual leave booked but unfortunately a month prior to the event I lost my best mate and main adventure ride buddy Aaron Card and couldnt bring myself to get back on the bike. Since his passing I aint ridden my bikes much at all except his funeral and a tribute Syds run for him. Then after some grief from the boys at work I got it running again and rode it around the block and it didnt sound pretty. So I dropped the engine and my good bud Dan done me a solid deal on a new Lifan so retired the old donk and fitted new one. Battled wiring gremlins alot and then couldnt stand the noise it made anymore from the straight pipe which is the opposite of who I used to be . Have fitted a old grom muffler a buddy at work gave me. Fitted new Tyres and replaced most fasteners and sorted out ny spares and tools kit . Feeling good to rejoin the group riding again and tackle some West Coast adventure with a solid crew from work plus some OS buddies I aint seen in a wee while. Looking forward to the riding! 17 7 Quote
