LOWMK11
Cheers mate yeah I prefer the 4 door too. I'll try to find a pic of my mk2 I built 15-16 years ago and put it up, it was my baby and regretted selling it ever since. Your car looks pretty sweet too BTW

CUL8R
Interesting seeing some of the steps, and you explaining whats going on - from someone that has close to 0 panel beating experience lol!

666DAN
I don't envy you having to scrape all the old underseal off. We are building a LS powered '57 4 door pillarless Belair at work and we have just finished scraping the underside. So worth it now the paint has gone on but still a dirty bastard of a job
DodgySam
That colour is stunning! Looks so deep and flawless! Gonna keep that in mind for when the mini is ready for paint...(so in about 20 years at the rate Im going)
Mof
I agree Colour is pretty awesome!
LOWMK11
Thanks for that, yeah I'm pretty happy with it, I played around with colours for quite a while. It had to be gunmetal but not too dark otherwise looks dirty and too light would be just silver. I'm not totally convinced about the hotwires and am thinking of 14 inch modgies? Opinions? I think the hotties would be ok but they really need eagers. Might go with both?
666DAN
Colour is gorgeous and Hotwires are rad! Love your work bro!
LOWMK11
Cheers Dan. Yeah much happier with the wheels now after todays effort. Still a little unsure but I'm sure some more low will fix that!

N3K
What did the paint cost without being too nosy?
63Ragtop
this thing deserves bigger pictures. nice work.
LOWMK11
Thanks heaps guys . My phone won't let me put bigger pics up for some reason? Maybe cause I'm computer illiterate! I own and operate my own auto painters so the panel and paint hasn't really cost me that much, but really my own time but to give you some idea of the value of the job it's worked out to around the 20-25k mark(panel and paint alone) originally set a budget of 10k finished but blew that outta the water quite a while back lol. Wasn't meant to get this carried away but it just snowballed and now have to carry on
