  1. Possibly for sale to fund new project...Possibly. 27k or possible trade for XA Falcon sedan / coupe
  2. Made the hamilton all ford day today. Was a great day out and the car preformed perfectly Also took home 3rd place for best European . gotta be happy with that!
  3. Well replaced all filters, cleaned tank and fuel rail, installed new injector and still 3 cylinders so did what I should have done right from the start and took off the rocker cover and hello number 3 exhaust rocker isn't where it should be! Somehow it has tightened itself against the cam to the point it's eaten into the rocker a good 5-6mm and when I've given it a bootfull it's parted company. Weird thing is the locking nut was still tight, so fuck knows what how it's moved. Maybe the stress of the dyno? Anyway don't know how I've gotten away with it but the cam lobe looks fine!! So a another rocker and pedistal later and boom away we go again on four cylinders. Oil and filter tomorrow and will be boosting once more!!
  4. Have narrowed the miss down to number 3 injector not working, probably blocked. Got another on the way. Also will pull tank out and flush any crap out and also replace filters. Hopefully get this done by Sunday for htown all ford day.
  5. Went over to watch my car being dynoed today, after sorting a miss under boost and a couple other minor complacations it made 147.8hp atw at 5700rpm at 5lb boost and 196.6hp atw at 5850rpm at 10lb boost, super stoked with these results. Drove it for the first time for a road tune and you couldn't wipe the smile off my face! Even at 5lb boost! Ended up blowing an exhaust gasket which Is a easy fix and drove it home...all was going well till about 10k from home it developed a pretty bad miss, like it's running on 3? Thought it was going too good to be true lol. Will have a look at it tomorrow and see what I find I'll say it's either a injector or possibly the coil which is pretty makeshift atm
  6. Well it runs! Got a call yesterday to say it's had the injectors and ecu installed and fired up. Apparently started first turn of the key!! Good oil pressure and no leaks. Now just gotta wait my turn for the dyno, which sounds like will be Monday. Getting pretty excited now!
  7. Off to the dyno tomorrow for computer and start up.hopefully it's last trailer ride! Hope to drive it home later next week
  8. Getting close... real close Booked in for ecu, injectors start up and dynotuning September, getting rather keen to drive it!
  9. So a wee bit more has happened. Firstly I modded the head for the injectors to fit and then sent it back to be reassembled Bonnet all repaired and inside painted ready for the outside to be coated And finally put the car on the trailer and went for a ride to drop the engine in. Fitted the new heavy duty exedy sports clutch, bolted up the gearbox and boom in she goes.. And a look at the ride height...not bad, will leave like this for now and see where it settles Got the all important sign writing on too
  10. Got most of the interior in now carpets, seats, belts, etc And multi point efi manifold arrived from auzzie this morning, brought from rhubarb77 ( thanks heaps) Next is to get the die grinder out and modify the inlet ports on the head to fit the injectors, assemble head, fit head, collect clutch kit and fit gearbox and finally drop her in! Hopefully within a couple more weeks
  11. Cut up some 75 and 25mm box section today for the seat mounts and bolted the brackets in position. Worked out quite well And bolted up the seats. Super solid and comfortable too Took it all back out for paint then cleaned up the floor and put a bit of sound proofing down (might help, not holding my breath tho)
  12. Pushed the car outside for the first time for a look... And also sat the rear muffler in position to weld up a rear mount to it so I can go ahead and paint it without burning it later Short block is assembled so sprayed it up at the old mans Got a sierra efi manifold sorted, so until I'm able to get it the head has to wait as it will need the inlet ports modified to suit the injectors. Seat mounts today....
  13. Got the "b"and"c" pillar trims in along with the rear parcel tray Also in went the pedal box, heater box and piping and dashpad. In the middle of tidying up the wiring atm and putting back up under the dash(going to rewire the engine bay new and hide a bit of it too). New windscreen turned up this morning so in it went Bro inlaw dropped off the sump he modded for me too, with the bottom squared off to clear the cross member and a return pipe for the turbo. The old man called today to let me know the pistons and crank were about to go in too! The engine is basically going to be a fresh standard rebuild(with race spec rings and bearings ) for now just to get it running and to tune in the link(will run low boost)and will be building a forged engine later with the 205 sierra block I have waiting...
