sheep
Does anyone know if there is a tuner in NZ who can re-write or modify the PROM's for an 86-89 TPI Chev ECU? ECM number 1227165 ... if not, I have to go the expensive route with an aftermkt ECU. Approached Harman's here in Chch & they don't have the ability on the old stuff, but can modify the LS1 system. Pro-Tune can't in Auckland either - awaiting a reply back from Torque Performance who James from Harman's suggested might be able to help. Cheers! AllTorque
Wrong system KK. You are thinking of crossfire. TPI = tuned port injection (multi point). I think they have different memcals available. Like you unplug and plug in a new "chip"

flyingbrick
Sheep, why not buy an LS1 ECU and splice a new plug into your current loom. Cheap and the LS computers are pretty powerful
