OSM Garage
Ever since I have owned my Sigma wagon it has had this dodgee chassis plate on the car Its just a bit of aluminium with the numbers stamped. Ive owned a few wagons now and they have all had a Todd Motors tag. I have never had any issues with getting a WOF. They have never questioned this plate. I am going to have to certify the car now and im worried that this will hold me back. The kicker is that CARJAM says that my number plate is for a "Saloon"...... Any tips on what I can do? Will I need to find records for this car? Thanks
tortron
interesting though most old cars dont have a propper tag, susually just some numbers stamped on the firewall or on a bit of alluminium like that. , though i dont think it will be a problem
cletus
Take it to a TSDA ie a vtnz or vinz that does re registrations and get them to sort it, they will probably print you a new Vin number or put your one on a proper Vin tag
SOHC
I think NZTA needs to make the vin tags bigger like A4 size
