I have heard that, what was your mates name if I you don't mind me asking. I do know someone by gman on the nzdatsun forum did own it. The GX head is a nice score, One thing with them though, Although the have taller ports than the A14/A15 oval port, they still only run the smaller A12 sized valves. If you ever have the head off, there is enough meat in the valve seats to recut them for A14/15 sized inlets and exhausts. I also don't think anyone does an off the shelf manifold gasket for them either. I just used to run grey threebond on the inlets, and high temp RTV on the headers.
