Rookie
6 months is no worries, I painted my lotus in 40 hours, and my alfa in 100. Just take a a couple of days off work and it will be done. I do like ke70 goons quite a lot.
Backer101
Yea its just reeeallly rough, and the paint the person used can not be sanded it just melts, its like some kind of oily house paint thats super thick.
Rookie
Paint stripper on it then? I went through this on my alfa as the front half was resprayed in enamel, which is a bastard.
dave
wheels look terrible. why pay money to get lips made that dont fit?haha
chees-
just as a note, you are not going to be able to "just camber them in" and pull the guards. what are the widths and offsets? you could pull it off with some 155/55s, alot of camber and low. no idea how you'd work the back though.flares are probably your only option really
Backer101
Hahah i know it looks mexican as shit at the moment, but as i said i only put the spacers on the back to even out the mexicanness, without spacers the back sits perfectly, and the front i think i will be able to get it in there... the C's garage ke70 has the same dimension wheels and they sit in there nicely, those guards are just fully standard and theres not one ounce of camber there. Wheels are 14x8.5 i think around -20 offset.
chees-
c's garage is running 195/45s, rather large difference there. tyre size, suspension setups etc make a huge difference. but yes you can do it.
Backer101
mm yea i know, il be getting into all that when I'm back up home. i will do it...
Gomaxgo
if you make your lower arms adjustable and have adjustable top hats, you can just pull your track in to help clear guards
beachlander
Ive got same size wheels on the front of mine with 185/55s. Have extended my lcas by 30mm and have maxed out my camber plates. Oh and rolled the shit out of my guards. For the rear i will have to make new guards.
Backer101
Yea il make up some camber plates at work in auckland. yea i want to look into rose jointing them, but not sure how they are for certing?? i know the guards will need some serious shit haha. Backer101
and yea they are 185/55s too.

The fancy teflon lined ones are best. Ive got same size wheels on the front of mine with 185/55s. Have extended my lcas by 30mm and have maxed out my camber plates. Oh and rolled the shit out of my guards. For the rear i will have to make new guards. my LCAs ended up about 20mm shorter and tophats right in to keep the wheels inside the guards without ridiculous camber
Backer101
Mm yea well i kinda want quite a bit of camber but i want to try cert it without having to change stuff out after its certed, like longer lca's. So adjustable everything will be the way to go.
Mitch.W
keep in mind that you can only legally have like 0.75degrees of camber from the factory rating or something like that. so you will struggly to get a cert with loads of camber dialled in
Benno
I think that he means that if there is adjustable gear throughout once he has the cert it can be adjusted to whatever setting he wants (even if illegal), once the cert plate is on there won't be many cops or WOF places that actually care/notice

Just wandering also if modded LCA's show on cert plate as extended or shortened? because if it just says modded LCA's, i have 2 sets of LCA's i could shorten one set and lengthen the other so wofs shouldn't really be able to tell when i put the longer ones in because plate says modded and thats what they will be. Just may be difficult with steering set up and that? ned alignment each time.
