  1. Long time no update, not took much has happened really, waiting for my mates car to get out of the garage. i bought this from a mate who gave up haha. Came with a big port, i wanted to try a small port.... So i got this. Oh yea got these too... Mate spent shit loads getting all these engine bits and sold them to me for less than half the price he paid.... mates. heres some of the goodies Yuck...... and all the engine together, will be running this setup for a bit until i can afford a decent turbo and manifold. aaaaaaaalso got these! will polish them and sell/swap for 14s i think. unsure of offsets at the moment 14x7.5 14x7 Got my gearbox too, running a j160, making up an adaptor plate at work at the moment. and have a liteace diff too.
  2. I got them from my mate who went to Keto knuckles, so yea second hand. theyv just cut them and welded them though looks like an easy mod to do.

  4. So following a green sticker on a test drive i decided f@#k it, track car. Started on the front suspension and steering. 30mm extended control arms. Got my mate to tig them all up, aircraft grade welds right thuur. Also got some C's Garage Knuckles. Should see better lock. Made these at work too quite happy with the results. Also added quite a bit of thread onto my castor rods. should help me a bit with that. Slapped it all together, and am faaaacken stoked, nice amount of camber and some good track. Today i bought some RA60 rack ends because they 30mm longer so now il be able to take it for a drive. ah excite. Also just slammed the front nearly as low as i can go, maybe have to be higher though because i don't even think the back can go that low. The guard is just sitting there not the actual fitment hahaa.

Yea thats exactly what i mean. i was able to do it with my escort, pulled in control arms (using the mods i made to the cross member) and pushed out the camber plates to have no camber then post cert, boom camber applied. Just wandering also if modded LCA's show on cert plate as extended or shortened? because if it just says modded LCA's, i have 2 sets of LCA's i could shorten one set and lengthen the other so wofs shouldn't really be able to tell when i put the longer ones in because plate says modded and thats what they will be. Just may be difficult with steering set up and that? ned alignment each time.
  8. Mm yea well i kinda want quite a bit of camber but i want to try cert it without having to change stuff out after its certed, like longer lca's. So adjustable everything will be the way to go.
  9. Yea il make up some camber plates at work in auckland. yea i want to look into rose jointing them, but not sure how they are for certing?? i know the guards will need some serious shit haha.

Hahah i know it looks mexican as shit at the moment, but as i said i only put the spacers on the back to even out the mexicanness, without spacers the back sits perfectly, and the front i think i will be able to get it in there... the C's garage ke70 has the same dimension wheels and they sit in there nicely, those guards are just fully standard and theres not one ounce of camber there. Wheels are 14x8.5 i think around -20 offset.
  12. Well, she's seen sunlight again... Back has spacers on just to match the front a bit more.. For my drive back to auckland soon I'm getting my mates Work Equip 03s sent down (14x7.5), the a3as just sit too far with no camber and i don't wana add camber until I'm back home, ran out of time down here.

  15. Oh and also got this steering wheel and felt a new shifter was in order because i felt like making another haha.
  16. Been a while, done a bit, not a lot. Parted these lips off at work and have new lips arriving next week to make them 14x8.5 (roughly the same size lips as the backs. Cars all sanded just straightening it out out as much as i can. got new doors and boot because I'm in blenheim for 10 more weeks so couldn't be bothered fluffing round with the rust on them. Picking up a shell soon to use for the shells bits of rust, need anything let me know. Best news, i found a full twin round headlight front thats a lot straighter than my flat front. Mock up Also got me leafs back, 3" reset with leaf added. and also a crackless dash, just has little stickers on it.
  17. So somewhere i found some motivation.... Went with the paint stripper in the end. Sanding ok too. Oh and this is the space i currently have.. guess its better than gravel like the escort. And im now making these sit captive too.. as they are no where near now.

  19. I did the front guards with a baseball bat... then tidied them up wit a hammer and bit of bog. they look legit as haha.
  20. Yea its just reeeallly rough, and the paint the person used can not be sanded it just melts, its like some kind of oily house paint thats super thick.
  21. 375mm front 360mm rear but that was just the front at captive, its quite a bit lower now as in the last few photos.

  23. But then when i got to blenheim i though shit while its off the road il sort the body.... should not have started, lost motivation now the escorts gong and i leave blenheim in 6 moths and its all strippd and 1/4 sanded....

Dodgy as really, its certed for a 3tgte but had a 4k in it, everything pretty much slapped together, ran okay and sounded like a tractor. Was like this for a few months and juuuust made it back to auckland, then put this sweet thing on.... Then whipped out the spray can.... The collection at work... note the fender mirrors too. Bought these puppies. Also scored a bumper. Then scored some coilovers off a mate but didnt take photos... only of the top hat i whipped up for them! And also made this beast too.. Had to chop it though... Then everything together and sitting low in the back thanks to a full car on the trip back down to blenheim at the start of this year, blew the gearbox just after this photo in new plymouth so the rest of the drive was done in 4th.
