kseries.rookie Posted December 30, 2012 Share Posted December 30, 2012 Morning all, A quick shake down: A bunch of good mates and I would get together once a month at the end of the month, grab a bite to eat and catch up on eachothers lifes. This then escellated into a fairly large controlled meet, which we jumped onto the opportunity to create the group now called "A Bunch of Guys with Cars". The name is simply what it is - a bunch of mates/guys/gals that just happen to share an interest in cars/bikes/over various mechanical things. With that in mind, the vision that we had was to create a legit event away from the "thursday night boy racers/hutt drags". There are always the cool cats that rock up hitting v-tec/waste gate which we can't do anything to stop them hearing about the meet but we very quickly tell them to bugger off. We have had a fairly good turn out of some of the old school cars in the community that have shown an interest in getting together for a "BGC Old School Car Meet". If you guys don't have any plans for the Sunday, i'd love to see you guys down there. It's on the 6th of Jan, the plan of attack is to meet at the bottom of the Haywards Hill (SH2 Side) at 1:30pm and then to mosie on over to another location for a yarn and to take some photos. Anyways, no pressure and sorry for the novel. It may not be your guys cup of tea, it might be a good excuse to get away from the missus for a couple of hours.. The plan is to meet at the bottom of the Haywards Hill, on the lower hutt side - then cruise over to the location from there as a group . Feel free to invite some level headed friends if you wish.
