But no it does not need to be carried out by a 'certified' welder. It just needs to be carried out to a acceptable standard. My name is Russell Posted November 11, 2012 Share Posted November 11, 2012 Not sure if this applies to road cars but appartintly motorsport nzl is bringing in rules that you are not allowed to Seam / stitch weld your engine bay unless you have role cage to the front struts ( 8 point cage ) as it changes the crumple characteristincs.
