Drilling large holes in guards

A 26mm chassis punch would be better IMHO

this, provided the panel is flat in the location with room for the punch. step drill look like a good option also.

or similar to what goose said, if being tight holesaw/drill a smaller hole, 20mm to 24mm then die grinder or rat tail file out the rest to a line drawn on there.

or drill a series of small holes around the circumference of the desired size then file/die grinder out the "points" in between them.

I dont understand how u can fuck up with a holesaw? iv done plenty and never had a problem?

middle drill but holds holesaw in one place so it can't fuck off sideways.. or are you guys trying to use holesaws without that middle drill? haha

I have also done a starter hole then done rest with a jigsaw with metal blade. worked mint.

hole saw is all good. long as you dont expect a perfect 26mm hole from a 26mm saw, as they can walk around a bit. the wood trick, is going to help locate it better though. id suggest drilling the mandrel through first without the holesaw on. unless your a holesaw pro. will eliminate the chances of it biting and turning to shit when the mandrel breaks thru. again wood trick is gonna help.
