EURON8
Project: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=35280 What a piece of ...potential. Slam should be highest (/lowest?) on the adgenda
beachlander
It is a bit of a piece haha but it will do. Slam is very important, but no point slamming it if i cant drive it? Or just drive no wof spec
Steelies
mean. gotta say, i too would be pulling a happy face in an empty car if my neighbour had 60 feet of crazy cactus
Ned
haha. So much effort to get it all boiled down to something usable though haha. On topic, i like 2 door KE70 wagons 4AGE one sounds sweet enough

k2dori
I wouldn't be so harsh on your driving abilities, it's more the car than anything at the moment, looks ultra hard to drive. Axle tramp was just ridiculous and also the motor didn't seem to be too happy either. You should check your axles again you might have twisted them cause I remember seeing your wheels go all over the show when you were just rolling. Top effort though! 4AG_Addict
Did you get a spare pair of door mirrors with the new doors? Wanna sell?
beachlander
Ive given the old one off my passenger door to a friend but still have the drivers side
4AG_Addict
Gutted, really after a passengers side especially. Thought they would be easy to find with all the JDM wannabes converting to fender mirrors.
beachlander
I have a spare, but i think its a drivers side. Will have a look in my pile tomorrow

Guest Beaver
what he said. dont use normal tapered nuts (even with longer wheel studs)

kpr
what extractors and exhaust are you going to run?
beachlander
Dunno yet, i kept the extractors off the old engine but i cant figure out what they are. Probably 2 inch or 2 1/4 exhaust.
kpr
got a pic of them? for the exhaust i'd go big as possible. you want zero restriction for those cams to work. so i found out the hard way.. gained about 15kw in mid-range, going up to a 2.5" system from 2". went bigger again and gained even more. ended up running 300mm or 2.5" off extractors, rest 3" never dyno'd it again. but would have been 20-25kw lost at around 5000rpm because of restrictive exhaust. just thinking, what i learnt the hard way, might save you some drama. beachlander
Ill grab a pic tomorrow. Oh sweet, cheers for that. Thats a fair amount of loss for that. Will probably do that then.
kpr
2.5 all the way is probably ok. if you don't have the room. long as your running, straight through mufflers/none. or oversize the shit out of the muffler if your running tripple pass or something on the back. 3" at least.
